At least he's not stupid. He was motivated enough by money to stick around for his bonus, though, wasn't he?

I'm 6' 180 lbs and I'm sure there are 8 year olds who can skate faster than me.Im 54.. 6' ..160 lbs... decent shape, fairly athletic.. might need to put in some cardio work
Shoot in the mid 80's so should translate to the ice..
Really think the Canes could use me at 2C for 12 -14 minutes a game.
Canes and Kuzy
Thanks for the memories I enjoyed watching you play Kuzy.

But I'll put my name in. I can probably be counted on for a 2 game heater which makes me about as good as Kokomiami. I can also scream "Misstttaaaa Svechnikov" with the best of em.
I would say "sorry my bad are you ok?" even if I ran a guy intentionally. actually worked a few times.I mean I can always bulk back up if we need an enforcer, reach out to Randy's Pizza and get me a lifetime deal Tom. Sure, I'm 43, and slow as hell but @Stickpucker and @tarheelhockey have seen me lay some people out in our league games... completely unintentionally but that's beside the point.

I don't have to imagine.Imagine paying the new STM prices for that lineup lol.
Set up a thread. I'm in. C League skating, E League skills. We need a Canes board actual skate someday. Before I need a walker preferably.
Given Bleeds location, are we meeting in Memphis?Set up a thread. I'm in. C League skating, E League skills.
I’d only be visiting so someone else should probably organize! I actually was invited to play in a late July tournament that I believe is in y’all’s neck of the woods. I had to drop out because I’m still on the mend from my back surgery and I’m not back at work yet. Which blows, because I’ll probably be back on line early August.Set up a thread. I'm in. If we could somehow center an HF skate around a game/weekend tailgate etc. I’d make the trek up.I’d only be visiting so someone else should probably organize! I’d come play especially if I could see a game on the same trip. I expect I’ll play in that tournament next year too.
That would be perfect for me. I can do during the week sometimes too but I’d assume the weekend would help everyone else out.If we could somehow center an HF skate around a game/weekend tailgate etc. I’d make the trek up.
No walker yet, but age got to me. I hung up my skates and got rid of all my gear around 6-7 years ago. A lot of bumps and bruises along the way, but after probably 45+ years of skating with my only serious injury being a torn rotator, I figured I was not going to push my luck any longer, plus I got to the point I couldn't stand the late games any longer and a lot of them were late and I'd feel like shit the next day. Haven't stepped on the ice, or even roller rink, since and likely never will.We need a Canes board actual skate someday. Before I need a walker preferably.
How was the rotator cuff recovery? Have a consult with an orthopedic doc in a couple weeks to find out what’s wrong with my shoulder. Worried it’s the rotator cuff.No walker yet, but age got to me. I remember when I was in my late 20s/early 30s playing pick-up and there was this "old" dude with the brown leather gloves as old as he was, who you could tell played a lot of hockey in his day. Everyone hated him because he couldn't keep up any longer so he just took cheap shots all the time. I didn't want to be that guy, although I bet he had fun being that guy.
Mine was a small tear. Doctor wanted to do PT a bunch and not surgery. So I didn't get surgery. Only bothers me for the most part if I throw things or lift something the wrong way. Other than that, it's not noticeable. How was the rotator cuff recovery? Have a consult with an orthopedic doc in a couple weeks to find out what’s wrong with my shoulder. Played whiffle ball a number of years back and after throwing that light ball a bunch of times, it was sore for weeks so I just avoid throwing things too often. Not hard to do since I don't have young kids to play baseball with and don't play in any baseball/softball leagues any longer.
I’m getting close to the time I have to start hacking the bone to stay on the ice! I get it, this past surgery has taken a bite out of me. I’m just getting back to skating and it’s never been harder. 3 surgeries in a year is probably a hint.No walker yet, but age got to me. Still, borrow some gear or you’ll have to keep the fancy stats for us…
Woof. Some things can’t be unseen once they’ve been taken in.Hell no. A bunch of old dudes trying to skate? I couldn't pass up the chance to just stick to the "eye test" for an event like that.
