the thing I don't understand is that part of what pushed the Strome's chemistry with Panarin narrative so hard is simply the fact that like no other center has played significant minutes with him. Especially Chytil, where at least on paper, their skillsets are a perfect match. I know that even Quinn's fans agree on the criticism that for a supposed development coach in a development year, he really likes not playing young players in unfamiliar situations and is just as conservative as any other NHL coach when it comes to creative line combos and setups (like playing Ryan f***ing Strome on the PK which to this day boggles my mind). Like wasn't that the whole point of this year? To see what our players can do in different setups?
Oh unless of course you're Brett Howden, who can roundhouse kick Shesterkin in the neck and still get his 14 minutes a night.
