So are there any suitors for shatty at 50%?
All the teams that missed out on EK and Trouba, maybe.

Shattenkirk and the Dallas pick for Lucic and 8th overallI think Shattenkirk's market is being swapped for another ugly contract but at forward. Said it in the Troubda thread but Shattenkirk for Perry and a small add makes some sense.

New CBA = compliance buyout for Lucic
Brooks said that there has been no interest in Shattenkirk even at 50% retained. Hopefully that's just him speculating.So are there any suitors for shatty at 50%?

Very rude of him, we should ask nicelyPretty sure Shattenkirk has all of the Canadian teams on his NTC.
I didn't think so before today, but Dr. Trouba might be enough to sway him.Would anyone be interested in Joe Pavelski? He's a bit on the older side but could be a good veteran presence to help Kakko and Kravtsov. Plus if he come to NY and gets injured he won't have to go far for medical advice. Trouba's girlfriend is attending school to become a doctor and will be around the team to help him recover.
He’s 35 when the season starts (meaning training camps etc) and the contract officially starts. I think he’d be a +35 contract.A guy we haven't talked about is Pavelski. He's 34, doesn't turn 35 until July 11th, so his contract would NOT be a 35+ contract. He's likely to get a 3 year deal and just put up 38 goals.
He'll probably re-sign with SJ, but after the deal they just gave EK, they may not be able to afford him. They've got about 11 mil left, assuming the cap is 82 mil, and they only have 7 forwards under contract. Meier is going to get paid. Lebanc is looking at a nice raise too.

All Player Salary and Bonuses earned in a League Year by a Player who is in the second or later year of a multi-year SPC which was signed when the Player was age 35 or older (as of June 30 prior to the League Year in which the SPC is to be effective), regardless of whether, or where, the Player is playing, except to the extent the Player is playing under his SPC in the minor leagues, in which case only the Player Salary and Bonuses in excess of $100,000 shall count towards the calculation of Actual Club Salary;
I’m more thinking that with the cap space the team has, I’m more thinking they try to poach a guy like Nylander from Toronto at this point.
Definitely think Shattenkirk has value at 50%. 2 years x 3.25M is really cheap for a RHD who can run a #1 PP, and is still a 4 or 5 on a good team.Brooks said that there has been no interest in Shattenkirk even at 50% retained. Hopefully that's just him speculating.
Would anyone consider Shattenkirk for Dustin Brown?
Was going to ask the same question.Anyone know how often Trouba paired with Skjei back in the USNDT? Maybe Gorton doesn’t see Skjei as expendable as some of us do.
