I'll bite and play along with Uncle Larry.

He who hesitates is lost. We shouldn't be playing with fire like this or else we'll wind up without Gallant and any of those guys.
I don’t see Brindamour being let go by Carolina no matter what.

The rest is marginal differences imo that is not worth waiting for and risking losing out on Gallant. Paul Maurice I’d say is slightly below Gallant. Cassidy probably slightly ahead. Very slightly imo.

Just hire Gallant

Brooks naming every coach in the NHL in that article.

if we start 0-3 the meticulous, tight lipped drury will become indecisive and reclusive just like that...he's a sensationalist

nothing will ever top his puff piece taking dolan's explanation for firing jd/gorton at face value..jellyfish have more spine. loves celebrating his moral high ground on every issue under the sun and preaching holding power to account, right up until power offers him a seat at the table, then he's a happy little mouthpiece. torts shoulda given him the hands when he had the chance

Interesting take. Seriously.

Did Slats grab Jimmy's whiskey bottle, sit him down, and pull an end around JD and Gorts? Will probably never know but there def was some puppet pulling going on there.

No way Dolan was analyzing that 6-1 loss to the Isles imo. He was shown video by somebody to make their point. Slats loves grit and truculance.

So do I to be honest.

That's my cynical side take. That and a dime will get you 9 cents.

Torts! Been awhile

I endorse this statement

I’ve been saying that Slats is like Hyman Roth, never went away

I not sure if you want to take Glen Sather literally but if you do, it sounds like he wants to develop toughness through the build and not from the outside. FF to the 9:40 mark.

Reactions: Daves a mess
I doubt it will happen, but I do wonder how long Rod the Bod will wait if they lose this series before either he or the team has to make a final decision on what they want to do.

I mean it’s pretty obvious Sather had something to do with JD and Gorton getting fired, despite what Larry says

It's pretty obvious, whatever led to it, we were a mickey mouse operation under the caricature and now we can go north.

Maybe the Rangers are using Brooks to drive down Gallant's price....for all we know he could be asking 6 to 7 million per thus the 4 Million suggestion on Rod the Bod by Larry . Drury will be wanting to impress the big guy as his new GM....and he knows 4-5 must also look pretty darn good to Gallant who has been sitting for long stretch outside of the WC's. Anyways...who knows where this is all at right now ?

Col Sanders runs the team?
Who knows? When the Davidson/Gorton firings dropped one of the speculations was that it was Sather. Another, I believe it was on the Boomer and Gio show where Esiason said that Dolan called Sather after the games where Trouba and Lindgren got injured and Sather flew in and made the hit.

I also wish torts broke his keyboard finger......

Couturier reportedly available, would rather acquire him than Eichel and I’ve been on board the Eichel train for a while now. Couturier would be the most perfect fit possible on this team though. Takes away Zib’s defensive responsibilities and allows him to focus on offense, while also giving Panarin a premier center to play with and also focus on offense
