Every lead going into the third will have Goodrow moved up, like game 36 vs the Sharks is super important, when in reality it should be those young guys learning to close games, and if you lose, who cares, the regular season is largely meaningless.
We ended up losing to Tampa with home ice, but home ice was particularly important in the first two series. The season is too long and there are a bunch of truly meaningless games but home ice is important.

Here's an idea

Lafreniere-Zibanejad-Kakko
Panarin-Trocheck-Kreider

It's actually starting to make sense to me that Kreider is the one to move over. He's just gonna go in front of the net anyway.
I’ve been saying that for ages. There is no reason to deprive Lafreniere of his natural LW spot, where he is more comfortable, in favor of Kreider who parks it in front of the net and has no more developing to do.

He had a down year and now everybody is willing to trade him. Isn't this the story of this fanbase?
The story "of some of the fans" in this fanbase.

people posting stupid crap is a given in any fanbase's forum.

people reacting to it, and dignifying it with page long thesis'...

I’m somewhat surprised that Ottawa doesn’t make a big push for Tkachuk. Get both brothers locked in for 7 years.
They don't have the cap, and I doubt M. Tkachuk would want to play 2nd fiddle to his younger brother.

Also, like, I think we're going to see a different Panarin with a center that's going to the net, helping with transition, and covering defensively as opposed to a center that's just mirroring Panarin's every move like a circus chimp, just on the wrong side of the ice.

Circus Chimp is a description of Stromes game that I never knew I needed

Moving CK away from Zibs after this past season is total insanity. Sorry if it aint broke no reason to fix it. At least wait until it fizzles if it ever does. Its a long summer reading these posts especially when people have been in the sun too long.

GG must read these posts and laugh all the time while he drinking his favorite beverage at the beach.

That's absolutely untrue. We have a #1 overall pick whose future to this organization is much more important than the difference between Kreider's production with Zibanejad and Kreider's production with Trocheck.

I mean, I don’t question your assessment of the coaching. But are you basically implying that this is how Panarin has always wanted to play and Gallant is finally the coach that’s allowing him to do it? That doesn’t seem likely.
No, it's just that if you reward players for doing nothing, nothing is what you eventually receive. They're human.

I like it, but I got an even better one:
Kreider-Ziba-Kravy
Goodrow-Trocheck-Kakko
Panarin-Laf-Hunt
Reeves-Chytil-Blais
What did Chytil ever do to you?

Calgary screwed up not giving Tkachuk a long term contract.

He may be 24 and 8th overall in scoring, but he will get a blank check as a UFA. Just like Winnipeg fans about Trouba, Calgary will dream about a tremendous return. When everything is said and done, I would bet that the return is pretty meh.

Tkachuk for Laine? ;)

The return should be really good, but it's pretty obvious he's gonna end up in St.Louis so you have to trade him this summer to get more teams involved.

Tkachuk is a guy I'd have very few if any forwards on this team off limits for if he was signed long term. I honestly think the only two guys id have off limits are Fox and Shesterkin. He's the kind of player that puts you over the top. Cap wise we'd never make it happen without someone big leaving.

Regarding lines...this would be how I'd do it.
Kreider Zibanejad Lafreniere
Panarin Trochek Kravtsov
Blais Chytil Kakko
Carpenter Goodrow Reaves/Hunt/Cuylle

Id be surprised if Kakko was below Kravtsov but this is what i see as the best lineup right now as Kravtsov has a better shot for Panarin to work with imo

Bernmeister-esque
You need a very high IQ to understand it
I wish you could type an accent... I'm just guessing got that old school Bx voice, like Colin Powell or Regis Philbin... Your mother should wash your mouth out with soup and water for such balogna, the old Bern has the highest IQ in NYC!

I was once lambasted for "talking out of tuckus" on HF -- which was really archaic even to my mind 92-year-old grandmother.

Canadian teams are going to become a barren wasteland of hockey within 10 years. The Trudeau government and the Canadian court system are attacking hockey players over unsubstantiated sexual misconduct allegations for political brownie points more so than ever before. Free agents are fleeing Canada at a more alarming rate than the number of Sri Lankan presidents fleeing Sri Lanka. National debt is rising, housing affordability is worst in the world despite Canada being Ohio with more leg room at best and Arkansas without the complimentary peanuts or the small town Americana culture at worst. The Taxes are sky high compared to even the most heavily taxed states in America. Fifty Cent didn't want to become 25 cent in NY, and Johnny Hockey didn't want to become Jon Hoky in Alberta. Within 5 years, Canadian teams will have to avoid drafting American players to avoid the Matthew Tkachuk, Johnny Gaudreau, or Jacob Trouba situations. Within 10, Canadian teams will struggle to recruit top free agents due to the lack of team success and locale or tax advantages. After 10 years, who knows, Canada may not even exist anymore.

This is nutty talk. Its the american players that wanna go home just like players like Taveres, Giroux etc wanna go back to Canada but nice try trying to put a political spin on it all.

We would have annexed them years ago but it would have meant that we’d have to raise all of our radon home limit laws
