Jack Hughes, Lias Andersson for Elias Pettersson, Quinn Hughes, Brock Boeser. I feel STUPID even typing this. Not happening.
Horvat + Boeser + their 1st might do it for me.

A few more McKenzie Rangers related notes. The Devils are taking Hughes. The Rangers are taking Kakko. They are not going off the board. Kakko is their pick.
The goaltending situation will be sorted out by their play. The Rangers have Lundqvist and the two young Russians. We will see what happens.
Georgiev is Bulgarian. Brooks made the same mistake in his article last week.A few more McKenzie Rangers related notes. The Devils are taking Hughes. The Rangers are taking Kakko. They are not going off the board. Kakko is their pick.

Not really a mistake. He grew up in Russia and played for Russia at the international level.Georgiev is Bulgarian. Brooks made the same mistake in his article last week.
I mean, I think a lot of that was his agent whispering in his ear. I forget the exact quote, but it was something like "The Rangers pay UFAs, but expect family to take less."Thank whoever you want that the Rangers didn't cave and sign him for 7.5M/season. <whew>
Fair enough. Not really a mistake. He grew up in Russia and played for Russia at the international level.
Georgiev is Bulgarian. Brooks made the same mistake in his article last week.
This is going to be the easiest pick the Rangers have ever made. There's a clear Top-2 in this draft. NYR pick whichever one is left over, which is likely Kakko.
Being born in Bulgaria, doesn't necessarily make you Bulgarian. It gives you the option to become a Bulgarian citizen, but Georgiev has the Russian nationality
The situation is comparable to Robyn Regehr. He's not a Brazilian citizen either, despite being born there.
The Devils are taking Hughes. It’s pretty simple. You get fired for picking Kakko at #1 and getting it wrong. If you pick Hughes and get it wrong you still get the benefit of the doubt.
I might still discuss it if it's ok with you.I don't see why Canucks would be desperate to unite the Hughes brothers before either has even played in NHL. But if they are then the trade with the Devils makes a lot more sense. No more reason to discuss the Canucks trading for 2nd overall.
The latest Bob McKenzie's podcast. He posted it yesterday because of Good Friday. The Rangers want to be aggressive this summer. He said the same things last year. Bob brought up Panarin. He also said Panarin is a stronger possibility to the Panthers with Queeneville in Miami. If the Rangers don't get Panarin, who are they getting? It's not a great free agent market. Earlier in the podcast, he said the Wings want to be aggressive too. They aren't planning a 5 to 7 year rebuild. The Rangers are in the same boat. The Rangers rebuild will be entering a second full season. Nobody wants a 5 year rebuild. It shouldn't take 5 years. It will take more than 2 years.
He was asked about the Rangers trading Kreider? Bob said the Rangers were all ears on Kreider at the deadline. Gorton doesn't have any untouchables. He is open minded.
Someone asked about Yzerman and the Wings. Bob said everyone in the hockey world believes Yzerman will end up in Detroit in some capacity working with Holland who has just one season left on his contract. Apparently, Yzerman has seen every top player in this draft. The feeling is Yzerman is getting familiar with the young players in the draft for when he takes joins the Wings. TB won't have a top pick in this draft so why did he spend so much time looking at every top player? For a guy who wanted to spend more time with his family, he spent a lot of time scouting players outside of TB's pick.
I personally think Quinn Hughes will take about 5 hits over his NHL career. Elusive af.Personally I think Hughes brothers will get destroyed in NHL with big hits.
