Maybe sign him for 2 years deal to plan a March 2023 window trade for future. But I dont understand this rebuild, because we are outside top 10 NHL teams to win a cup this season.

Strome would have to sign a 2 year deal, and to be clear he absolutely 100% would not do that unless the cap hit was insanely high. This is likely his first and only ufa contract.
This is likely the contract that takes him to retirement.

Rebuilds take more than 2 years. Look at our rebuild so far compared to the most successful examples in the salary cap era. Even by the most favourable blueprint we are 2 years away from contending.

Making the play offs is the next logical step this season (R+3), with hopefully a 2nd or 3rd round appearance in 2023 leading to our cup window opening in 2024.

Any talked to his agent? I highly doubt Ryan Strome retire in New York. Well if islanders got him, but I doubt they are interested.

Yeah true @Amazing Kreiderman - we need a new highly talented (19-20 years) old center in my view within the next 2 years schedule.

I assume re: Wall that Igor isn't going to be back for the remainder of the trip and they want someone on the taxi squad in the event something does happen. This way Wall can go do that while Huska gets the start for Hartford on Wednesday.

Wall has been terrible. Even though Huska was also bad in his debut, I can't imagine they'd go to Wall if they thought there was an actual need for him.

I`m going to travel to Tenerife - Spain for a landscape photo session in 2022, but it might be a vacation later as well. It is winter there now barely 20 degrees ;)

More likely that organizations and players don't care nearly as much about his issues as the fans and media would like to believe. Especially in a scenario like this where they can likely sign him to near minimum and just waive him if any actual problems come up.
Yup, his prior orgs and team mates were quite happy with him and his issues.
