So we can continue to debate of who should move to right wingWhy do you fools want another left winger? Let alone one that can barely play hockey.

This. Rangers are not going to trade fwd prospects they need for another D while having a better D prospect stable. Chycrun, while a stud, wouldn’t run the PP here either.Proposals for Chychrun make little sense when our strongest organizational asset is the back end. Center and Right Wing are the biggest needs.
Any posts of trading Fox or Igor even in proposals for Leon or McDavid because the city of Edmonton would burn to the ground if either is traded to a contending team. Gretzky trades don't happen in this day of age unless the player is broken goods. This isn't the NBA.
Giroux has a NMC so he controls where he goes.Philly is certainly not going to trade Giroux here lol
Do you think McDavid would make more on endorsements in Alberta or in New York ? Give that some thought . It's more than what us fans see . The base salary for a guy like him is currently peanuts versus what he would make in the Big Apple . He wants to win and he wants to make money . Look at Gretz....doing all the commercials for the gambling business ...does he need the money ??? Absolutely not but he simply is used to earning it and wants even more .Proposals for Chychrun make little sense when our strongest organizational asset is the back end. Center and Right Wing are the biggest needs.

Another LW….Forsberg, trade deadline present Predators with tricky decisions
If he is available, get it done. I doubt the Predators would deal Forsberg but anything is possible.
Giroux isn’t telling the Flyers to trade him to the Rangers.Giroux has a NMC so he controls where he goes.
Wings have had great start so far too ! Maybe Staal was not a bad decision . Wings with a winning record...Staal a +5 and playing 16 + minutes a night .Yzerman traded a pick for Nick Leddy and re-sign Marc Staal. No GM makes the right move every time but its hard to argue with the results for Drury right now
Giroux would be the best option for us out of the 3. Covers everything we need.Friedman saying he bets Giroux gets dealt. Throw him in the basket of Hertl/Pavelski. Gotta get one of the 3 imo
One of Stephenson or Karlsson will have to go. I can't see Patrick on the 4th line. I wouldn't mind going for either.This. Rangers are not going to trade fwd prospects they need for another D while having a better D prospect stable. Chycrun, while a stud, wouldn’t run the PP here either.
And correct. Gretzky was bought, not traded. Big difference. Bruce McNall admitted this.
Owners of teams now don’t have the money troubles of years ago. Plus there is a salary cap as well. It’s fiction.
The only way McD/Drai leave is if they publicly ask for a trade.....
If Chandler Stephenson ever becomes available in the offseason, Drury should be all over that.
He’s only got a 2.75 mill cap hit and will likely see a drop off in ice time with Eichel/Karlsson as their 1-2 punch.
They also have Roy/Patrick/Howden to center the 3rd/4th lines. I expect they keep him for this seasons run, but maybe after this year??
Karlsson made some really good defensive plays last night. He covers both ends of the ice very well. One of Stephenson or Karlsson will have to go. I can't see Patrick on the 4th line. I wouldn't mind going for either.
Except, that is not an option. The Flyers are not trading Giroux to the Rangers lolGiroux would be the best option for us out of the 3. Covers everything we need.
Colombus has what we need for sure. I see Roslovic and Gavrikov as likely options. Likely Chytil and Nemeth go the other way for cap and position purposes, but we have a host of extra pieces we can send their way to make a nice package. Those are good bottom 6 and bottom pair players that are still controlled and aren't gonna break the bank. Better this year and next kinda thing instead of just a rental.
I have to agree that something is cooking for Georgiev. Edmonton is likely, but so is Arizona and maybe even Colorado and Buffalo. I think those 2 are probably not as eager though.
This team has the bones, just needs the meat and muscle...and to trim some fat.
EDIT: Also, Cody Eakin. Perfect player for us right now. Could also resign pretty cheap.
Hmmm Nick Ritchie on waivers. We wanted him this past summer he chose the leafs. There’s an opportunity here for him for sure. Wonder if we circle back. Bigger issue is he got a 2 year deal 2.5 mil per
Why not?Except, that is not an option. The Flyers are not trading Giroux to the Rangers lol
Career Flyer Claude Giroux is not saying that to his GM. Come on now, let's use some common sense. Why not?
Fans get more caught up in this "they would never trade player X to their big rival!" stuff than the orgs do.
Claude will let Fletcher know which teams he'd be willing to go to. If NYR are on his list, he will engage with them and if Drury has the best offer, he'll be a Ranger.

Besides the fact that after the schlacking the Rangers received last night from one of the actual best teams in the league shows that this team should in no way should be trading for pure rentals.
Use your brain man. Yes they do care. If it was some nobody fourth liner, ok maybe, this is Claude Giroux. They care what their fans think. Why not?

Not sure that Giroux is the best fit for what the Rangers need. Each of the three mentioned (Hertl, Giroux and Pavelski) have the positives and negatives. Looking at all of that, I would think the best addition, for this year, would be Pavelski.I dont see Giroux coming here. Dont see the Flyers making that deal. And I dont feel like paying the division rival tax to get him. Also feel as though his skating as slowed down. Cost would be important and I think that is what will be problematic
I'm not arguing that the rangers should pay the high price to trade for him, I dont think they should. Those high price deadline moves almost never work out and I don't think he fits NYR needs.Career Flyer Claude Giroux is not saying that to his GM. Come on now, let's use some common sense.

I am all for Pavelski. I think he is the best fit all around. Leadership skills. Recent and overall playoff experience. Faceoff ability. 2-way game. Would help the PP2 even though it doesn’t get a ton of ice time. He would sure up the middle of the ice best. Not sure that Giroux is the best fit for what the Rangers need.
