I am all for saving the Planet and not screwing our kids future, but what I don't get is why this type of thinking only applies in certain areas.

If you run a car, break to a full halt, and get going again you will easily use 50% more gasoline than if you just kept going. Still people are complaining if you run a light that just turned red? How many planets do they think we have? I was driving a long distance yesterday. If you are 3 seconds behind a car you will use a lot more gasoline than if you are 3 feets behind it. Still if you persistently stay 3 feet behind a car -- the driver will freak out. Do they not care about their kids future at all? Pedestrians? Last time I checked they weren't running on gasoline. What is best for the climate, if a car stop for a pedestrian or a pedestrian stop for a car? Still nobody gets angrier than like a mom with a stroller if you don't break and let them cross the street when you come running with a car, I am telling you they are like Tom Wilson x10. That kid is going to grow up, does she want it to live in Waterworld II or a normal planet?

Don’t get me started brother. I commuted to NY from central/north jersey for 12-13 years. Most of the time taking the Lincoln Tunnel, driving thru Manhattan, over the bridge to Sunnyside Queens.

woah.. that’s borderline rape if you ask me lol.
I stopped in at Dairy Queen a week or so ago and got a large Pumkin butter cookie milkshake. ( highly highly highly recommend BTW it’s amazing).
I think the total was like 8 dollars and 87 cents or something....
I’m thinking To myself, how the hell is a large milkshake 9 freaking dollars at DQ.??
Not too long ago, you used to be able to get an entire freaking ice cream cake that feeds 6-8 people for $12.95 from DQ..
Now a large shake, which isn’t crazy big or anything, is a $10 Spot by the time you tip the worker. Disgraceful what’s happening to this great country,....
I pay $10 for a pack of bacon.... a pack of bacon.

don’t get me started home slice.
I commuted from central/North NJ to NY for 12-13 years. The things I’ve seen people say and do are shocking.. ( mainly pedestrians, power walkers, cyclists, other wackadoo drivers, homeless people even cops)
I would take the Lincoln tunnel and drive thru Manhattan to Sunnyside queens most of the time. That route saves you the most money in tolls and such but it’s a giant pain in the ass.
A lot of times it would take be 2 and a 1/2 hours for a 27 mile trip. We can swap stories all day long. But a lot of people, especially living/walking around Manhattan need to put the cuckoo back in the clock.

This is the most batshit crazy thing I think I've ever read.

I'm being totally serious here when I say I think you need some help..some urgent, psychiatric help.

Its very frustrating that once again the season is in a semi-pause, but the days off will probably help this team a lot. They are clearly gassed, Panarin/Igor can fully heal and they can get back to to the basics of when they were playing well. Blessing in disguise

Would Kadri take a 4 x 6m deal?

I'd rather keep Strome. any chance we can have both Kadri and Strome and giving Barron a look in the top 9.? Trade Chytil?? Both Kadri and Strome bring skil, grit and center ice depth. Kadri has a mean streak but sometimes goes overboard. Need a spot for Barron at center in the top 9. Barron on the 4th line in any capacity is a waste. He needs ice time with more offensively skilled players as a center. Only the Rangers would have Barron develop to be a center in Hartford only to use him as a winger in the NHL.

I think the first question is whether or not the organization think that Barron is a center at this level.

Personally, I don’t think Georgiev’s game fits that of a backup. He’s proven a couple of times to mope and complain when not getting playing time. There’s no scenario in which I would be okay paying any back up goalie $2.65m. Specifically with the cap crunch coming next offseason. If there was a good deal on the table that fit with Edmonton I’d seriously consider it.

In saying all that, I’m not giving him away. I’d be looking at just saying the Edmonton 2nd in ‘22 that’s conditional to Chicago, if the condition isn’t met, send it to the Rangers. If it is met, then make it the 2nd ‘23 + 6th in ‘22

I think there's a very good chance that Georgiev ends up walking. His QO next season is 2.65 mil. We can't afford that and other teams know we can't afford that. He isn't likely to get traded at the deadline, and in the offseason, any teams that are interested may decide to wait it out until he becomes a UFA.

I doubt it.
The front offices actions and many quotes and little pieces in media stories would suggest otherwise.
Larry baby stated directly that Drury wouldn’t move Schneider in any package for Eichel.
Maybe earlier, pre-injury eichel, it would be a different story. But much like Miller, who is also held in very high regard by the higher ups, they targeted him at the draft and specifically traded up to get him.
With how he’s progressed since being drafted, his stock has only gone up.
I’m positive they took notice of his preseason play as well. He wasn’t Stellar, but for a young kid coming straight out of the WHL, he didn’t look out of place at all.
Played relatively mistake free hockey.
Maloney, Michaletti, and Valley have all referenced on different occasions how valuable/importantly Schneider is viewed internally.
I also remember Maloney and Vally on 2 separate occasions saying when teams called Drury about possible trades, one of, if not the 1st guy they asked about was Schneider and they were told he’s not available.
I’m sure if it was something incredibly lopsided in the rangers favor, anyone would be available.
However, they just basically reiterated that they felt Schneider will likely not be available at all, and then the usual- how well he come along, won the WHL D-man of year, etc etc yada yada.
The biggest indicator for me is that there is no one even close in our entire system that has the same size/skillset combo. That’s what teams want him. It’s like finding a unicorn.
He’s not just some big mean kid that has potential and they draft him and hope one day he hits his ceiling, like McIrath.
Schneider has made significant strides since draft day and has been with the cream of the crop so far wherever he’s played.
I don’t think there’s anyone who has any doubt he’ll be a NHL player at all.
The main question is how good can he become.
If his offense and 2-way game keeps progressing like it did in the WHL, by years end/ next season, your talking about he becoming a Paraynko class of player. A big kid that possesses tools and talent to go along with his size and physicality.
Those types of guys are incredibly valuable and rarely if ever are traded.
Not only that, there are very few guys that have that combination on teams league wide. That’s why they are in such high demand.
It’s why a player like Trouba gets 8 mill a year on a long term deal, even after forcing a trade...
The only one who was dumb enough to trade a guy like that was Milbury for that draft pick (spezza)+ Chara for Kvasha and Luongo.
What a complete Asshat he was/is.

up until 2 games ago, I would have said without a doubt.
They put him at center last season at the end and all this season so far. then boom, here he is playing LW....
“Obviously they are thinking..........
I don’t know what the hell theyre thinking?
Just Dumb. Injuries are occurring, it would be a nice time to get him a couple games. Especially since chytil hasn’t performed too great recently.
So instead of keeping him at center and Continue to develop him while he’s been playing well at center, big picture wise. At lest since last years shortened season, the brain trust picks now to put him out at LW because??????????
Anyone?
Yea, I have no clue either.
Thank goodness though. These Master strategists seem to have the worst timing ever.
Why move Barron now?!?
Chytil currently moved to wing to try to spark him after a healthy scratch, followed up by a tremendous Meh to bad performance.
We get to see McKegg s Dumb ass skating fast up and down the ice doing absolutely nothing.

GG reads Hf

Alternatively, "GG has a roster with two injured wingers and has 4th liners playing W in the top 6 while both Zibanejad and Strome are still locks at C in the top 6."

Also, shocked at Chytil's response. He's almost the same age as Kravtsov, and all I heard at the start of the season was that players of that generation are justified in leaving the team and going home if they don't get what they want...

For all of Chytil's faults on the ice, you can not argue against his work ethic and willingness to do whatever is asked of him to be an NHLer. Basically the exact opposite person to Krav. I think Chytil's future in the NHL is at wing. Play him with the Z or Strome line on the right and put Kakko on the other. No more Hunt.

That's probably an idea now that the 4th line have started to struggle. Move Hunt back with them and try Chytil on the right with Panarin and Strome. The KZK line is starting to look great finally.
