You can't say the Canes didn't get a good one to add to their bunch of a-holes.

Regardless of plusses or minuses with ADA, at the end of the day, he's someone else's problem now.

For some people, it's really holding on to some of these things that's funny. I couldn't care less that ADA is gone, that guy had an opportunity of a lifetime and squandered it. I'm especially not going to worry about it when we have Adam Fox. He shouldn't be on the team nor should anyone care at this point. Keeping tabs on a guy though, especially when he's his own worst enemy?

Wilson is last season. We need to move forward and turn the page as an organization and utilize Reaves more productively like having him drop the gloves against Jack Hughes every single Devils game for the next 2 years.

If someone could embody HFNYR collectively as some person, it would be

I delete my account if this happens.

Nah, it was, "we knew that we weren't tough enough, we weren't caught with our pants down, it was what we expected, the kids had to learn from it", in a way.

The thing is, this would have worked probably, if we weren't in the divison we were in. If it wasn't all division games. We knew this. I made a post about it before the season started, look we are playing Boston, NYI, Washington and co only, several times a week. Are we really not even going to add some toughness to the 4th line?

Worked where? In the playoffs? I think they needed to be tougher on more than the 4th line. I think the 3rd, 4th and on defense.

They would have been fine in the north. I think they would have run into similar problems in the West and the Central.

JG's comments were BS though. They didn't stop from adding grit/toughness last year because they wanted to throw the kids out there. The kids were barely used for the most part even with out it. He could have easily added some sandpaper last offseason by off loading some prospects/picks, dipping into UFA and/or using roster pieces. He could have easily gotten a 13th F/8th D tough guy at the deadline for next to nothing to keep around just incase something happened (and as we know, it did.)

I don't think it was an oversight on his part, he just chose not to address this last year and ultimately that along with other things, ended up costing him his job.

His vision was always a bit confusing. He spent a shit load of money after bottoming out for a year, had a team that looked like it was well ahead of schedule, won the draft lottery and then did.... nothing? It would have made all the sense in the world to shuffle a few pieces around last off season.

I agree, but like, you can't intimidate Sid and Malkin anymore. They were tough enough when those guys were kid.
For real. If I recall as a rookie, Hatcher cross checked Crosby in the teeth and he lost a few teeth. Crosby, with a bloody mouth, was still yelling after Darien and trying to get back at him. After that game Crosby was unfazed and continued to tear through the league. It made great Baby Crosby memes but shoowed his ability to persevere against the big boys. I can see many of our young guys (and many throughout the league) holding their mouth hunched over while they skated off in such a situation, an understandable reaction. You really can't teach internal fortitude and toughness, it usually takes most a few years of trial by fire to develop it.

Kakko is a bowling ball now. He'll be taking runs at guys.
I'll believe that when it actually happens . The thing about running guys is that you will get called out on it....is he that ready to drop his gloves and respond to an invite ? Don't get me wrong....LOL...but I hope he is and he will . The Rangers could use some of that in a top 6 player .
