I mean I just don’t want to hear from the lemmings about how “It’s only X dollars more and won’t effect anything going forward” just like all the other seemingly mild overpays that are suddenly really starting to add up.

If Drury and the NYR want Eichel (no idea at this point), and it even slightly gets affected by some jabroni looking for clout, that's just ridiculous. Potentially meddling in the actual negotiations of the team you supposedly support to grow your podcast "career" is just an entitled, arrogant thing to do.

Now this whole hot take gets a big * because no one knows how this will all play out...we'll see what information comes out as the situation moves along. It is highly likely this is completely meaningless in the grand scheme of things. Just makes the people doing it look like a-holes.

I doubt a fan billboard affects a trade between the Sabres and Rangers
I think being known a the GM who pitched a fit about a fan of another team doing something dumb and taking that out on a team in a trade probably isn't a good position to be in. Then everyone knows Adams is a thin skinned whiny punk and have no reason to try to be on good terms with him for trades and such.

Fast is better than Blais in absolutely every way but they’re not really similar players

I saw that this morning and It just reaffirms that we definitely got bent over on igors contract. It might not look bad now but he’s gonna want 8-9 million when that contract is up. After hank I was hoping we learned our lesson with paying goalies so much money
 
I love Igor but him getting the highest second contract in goalie history and only having it 4 years is a problem

That statement is a bit misleading because it looks at cap-hit, not cap-hit percentage. Lundqvist's 2nd contract had a much higher cap-hit percentage than Shestyorkin's and there are others as well.

Lehner's just being Lehner and not keeping his mouth shut. That medical staff was let go in 2015 according to Buffalo fans.

The doc recommending fusion for Eichel is one of the top experts in the US. He's also a pioneer developing the disk replacement surgery, Eichel's preferred option. (Unfortunately I cannot name the doc, as hilarity will ensue and derail the point...).
