Hall comes with a near guarantee of getting the 1st overall pick every year he's on the team so that has to add to his value too

Yeah, he is a floater that mostly creates on the counter attack. Lol I wonder if he even was top 30 MVP the year he won. He and Jose Theodore are just embarrassing Hart winners. JMO.

Trocheck has definitely fallen off but I can't imagine he'd be traded for a rental. Would have to think Hall would be signing an extension with Florida if that rumor was true. Not to mention if they're tossing Knight into the deal. Doing all of that for a guy without an extension in place would be absolute lunacy. Plus they'd be betting a hell of a lot on Hall carrying his own line.

Arizona has always made the most sense, IMO. They have a new owner trying to rebuild fan support and have young guys at the pro level they can spare.

By the way, where are his bags currently?

Borg
Apparently Florida scratched Borgstrom and Heponiemi for their AHL game tonight. Hepo has been playing on the 4th line recently so that's not huge news, but Borgstrom is their top center. Both are considered top-10 prospects for Florida.
strom is someone I would covet with a skjei type trade.

I’d love one of Hep or Borgstrom

Florida wouldn't trade Borgstrom for a McDonagh who could have been signed to a very friendly long term $6.75M FL deal but noooooo, now they might deal him for a rental. Pathetic.

I was told by my AHL guy to keep an eye on Montreal for Hall. They have lots of young prospects, cap room and a good goaltending prospect in Primeau,
Imagine trading Hall for a goalie prospect, especially one who isn't Top 5 lol

Then again, he was traded for an average D, so I guess anything possible.

I get that the Devils are majorly hurting in the goalie department, but that shouldn't be the logic used in a Hall trade.

if florida trades trochek+ for hall they should just be shut down

what an awful trade that would be for the panthers

devils will probably get some loose change and some picks. if it’s arizona the return is probably a mediocre player like hinostroza, a B prospect, a 1st, and a conditional pick.

Primeau obviously wouldn't be the only piece going to NJ, but definitely a player they would be interested in, I would think.

Sounds like Arizona is close right now.
I would be very surprised if Arizona makes a big trade without the opportunity to talk to Hall. Doesn't mean he will sign now but I'm sure they would like some indication that he would consider a long term stay in Arizona. They simply do not have enough assets to pay a ransom without a lot of knowledge and that's not Chayka's style.

Who cares about Hall. People should be more concerned that Buchnevich has gone back to crap again. He looks as if he will be a lesser version of Kreider. Inconsistent, invisible at times with a lot less production than Kreider in areas of the game. That's a guy I would be all for moving. It's been 11 games for Andersson now for the Pack. It's time to get concerned. He has 5 points with just 16 shots in 11 games. I'm praying that he starts to put some points up down there.
