Speculation: Roster Building Thread: Part XVIII

  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. Luke Tuch is draft eligible this year. From what I've read, he's similar to his brother. He's currently projected to go in the 2nd round though, and we don't have a 2nd rounder. Maybe we'll get one at the TDL. I'm sure he's a few years from making an impact, but it would be nice to start drafting some guys like this.

Too much.

I can see one of the first two happening, plus the 1st and conditional first that turns to a 2nd, but not a top prospect AND a young NHL player.

The Devils are going to take Lawson Crouse, a 1st, and conditional pick from Arizona, and like it.

The market on rentals isn't what it used to be for selling teams.
 
New Jersey will get a bit more back now because they’re trading him in December as opposed to February

But how much more I don’t know.

It’s still not going to be as much as Stone

Not sure if it would even be needed, but if the Devils retained some salary the return could get bumped up a bit.

That would be Kakko straight up for either for starters . The Tkachuks are born and bred hockey players...these are not glorified rec hockey players ....it's winner take all kind of attitude with them . Yes...I would love to have one of them too. Lemieux is a poor man's version of one .

Honestly, i think offensively we will be fine. We have assets for trades, the only thing that is important right now is the kids trying to make the playoffs, close or not, thats whats important.drafting a super player is great and all, but dont be greedy. We got kakko, who seems so close to exploding offensively, and if we play bad and drop to a top ten pick, ill be okay with it, but not happy. I was reading the previous pages about trouba and HELL NO, mans the only guy who will bear down full body on someone and crush them. As for kreider, idc if its a first or a 2nd, as long as we get an nhl ready second. Remember btw when ppl said ottawa got fleeced for Karlsson ? Looks like its not so...

But yes certainly that type of player should be on the Rangers radar.
 
All we need is a 1ld, a better system, and a 2lw and a 2rw. This is a rebuild, so in the next 2 years, expect those positions to be filled and our bottom six more developed
 
Why is florida after hall? Theyre good lffensively, its in net and Id guess the d that they need help with.

I mean they were gonna give panarin that contract.

The Rangers already took a chance on Strome from that draft.

Edit: Not implying it was a negative in Strome’s case but what would be Baertschi’s trade price and role here?
