Guess Panarin is a bad signing then. Shame.Fun fact: Panarin has more giveaways than Buch this season.![]()

I would bridge him at something between 2.5-3Also Brooklyn-born, SI raised, and currently playing well but not well enough to break the bank on us next summer. If we could get him signed for around 4-4.5 for 4 years he can be a valuable player in our top-9. Definitely a shooting threat as well, though his numbers don't make it seem that way. This kid has got a good shot. I've been a fan of Labanc, I think he has put it together and could benefit under Quinn's coaching. For once I will have to agree with a Larry proposal despite the fact that I think it has no legs.

He's currently on a show-me. I doubt he will want a bridge after this. He's gonna want his money. I'm willing to bet on him at 4-4.5. By the end of that contract he could be worth 7.I would bridge him at something between 2.5-3

Bolded is correct, AFAIKI tried looking on cap friendly but couldn't find it, but based on years of service if they did a 2 year bridge would that take him to UFA? Or would he have 1 last RFA season?
Bolded is correct, AFAIK
FYI MoneyPuck has a glossary and really good references. Evolving-Hockey does too but they’re a little more complicated. Natural Stat Trick has a ton of info. They’re all free. HockeyViz has great visuals but you have to pay to use their tools.Thank you!
Just an addendum to paying for HockeyViz: you can see a lot of basic, but still very useful, charts and information for free for the CURRENT SEASON.HockeyViz has great visuals but you have to pay to use their tools
I get the feeling both will be moved. When Kreider gets traded there’s almost no chance Buchnevich also gets moved
I get the feeling both will be moved.
I get the feeling both will be moved.
He is an upgrade from Michael Haley
I get the feeling both will be moved.
Yep. Wing depth is a big weakness organizationally. Wouldn't be shocked if we see a D traded for a winger who's somewhat established soon enoughThere’s not enough depth on wing to move both Kreider and Buchnevich
Kakko and Panarin are locked in on the wing but who else is playing there long term?
Kravstov is still a big unknown at this point
So do I frankly. I think Kravtsov is basically what we hoped Buchnevich would be. And Buchy at 3.5 mil is a good deal but Buchy and his warts at 5 plus mil? I’d rather move him.
After next summer he's gonna want to get paid. Is he a $4-$5 million player? Nope.
Anthony Duke has 18 goals this year... that's one trade I would take back
The path is he and Gorton come together on a deal that is beneficial to both parties and Krieder is as a part of the leadership group on the other side. Which means that it is probably Buch that gets dealt.I don’t see a path unless you mean he sustains a major injury, and is willing to sign for a lot less than market. I don’t think the Rangers have any intention of resigning him. Its seemed like that for awhile now, and a so far disappointing year certainly shouldn’t change that. It’s never smart to say 100% ... but it’s def something I’m EXTREMELY comfortable predicting. Of course, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a couple Brooks articles in the post about being in contact etc... like they did with Hayes.
That does not mean he passed up any opportunities to shoot the puck on goal.He was also one of the greatest passers in NHL history.
We’re talking about Buchnevich here?
He’s for sure worth that, I’m not even sure how someone could debate that
Absolutely. He's not part of the solution here. I don't see him as the playoff type. Maybe if you put him with two stars but to me, he's run his course here. No loss as far as I'm concerned. Unless they get blown away, I think they sign DeAngelo to a 4 y, 18 million deal. Let him play one more year here, let Lundkvist play one year for the Pack and then deal DeAngelo. Me, I'd use him to go after Cozens. Bring Keane up and see what you have. I doubt they do that.
Do you try and do a deal like Buchnevich and Howden for Puljujarvi and Benson? I would.
He does not strike as the type of prospect that seems read to make such a jump. He will need time to hone the craft.Curious, how come?
