Surprised no one jumped on Emily’s intermission reporting. Emily Kaplan just confirmed a deal was in place with Detroit but there was a player on Detroit’s side who was not willing to waive their No Trade. They have multiple players who have a Trade Protection in some fashion.

Forwards;

Larkin
Debrincat
Copp
Compher
Kane
Tarasenko

Defense;

Chiarot
Holl
Petry
It was holl and nyr was buying him out after the trade

I mentioned this in the live GDT because I hadn't heard that yet.

Someone said it was Holl, whom I can't believe has a NTC lol

EDIT: Yes it was @bleedblue94

I feel like Robertson isnt up with the big club by accident. I think any of the 3 LDs can be traded at any time now.
Pretty sure Robertson showed absolutely nothing improved in HFD.

Anyone know how long Vaak is going to be out? Because that seems the more likely 6th D.

He's got good size, good skater and good defensive awareness. If he can stay healthy that's a solid add for us.

Just seems funny that the veteran Ruhwedel is riding the bus and Robertson is here. I dont think Jones has looked great recently.

Go to the 37:30 mark.
Last seasons all-star game, Team Hughes picked JT Miller last even though they already had 4 Canucks on the roster.
Thought at the time it seemed odd and disrespectful.
Then the news came trickling out last week about team issues and then tonight after the game on ESPN, Kevin Buccigross just Confirmed that JT Miller had left the Canucks due to personality issues with teammates.

I think Jones has looked very good.
He's getting significantly better defensively.
He needs to do a little better controlling play in the Ozone, but some of that is going to come when Mancini gets a little better at keeping the zone.

New York Ranger Captain JT MIller?

Name on NHL 25 tonight

And yet he's still bitching & moaning on his way out that he was wronged. f*** him. What a self entitled prick.
I take it differently. He liked playing and living in NY. Hes upset.
He didnt want to go. I take it as a "Im not happy it happened, but it did".

Is he supposed to be cheerful about it? We whine and moan when hockey players give generic answers, and Trouba's always been fairly open about things, can't really complain when he continues to do so.

I have zero sympathy nor empathy, sorry. If he wanted to stay he should've played better, end of story.

Him & his wife are 1%ers with access to anything they need to ease his transition, so his sob story evokes not one ounce of pity. For his inconvenience he still got a bit of a say of where he wound up & $8M reasons to stop moaning about it.

We all have families & things we do to sacrifice for them. I'm unclear why all of sudden pro athletes think they're above mid season trades or disturbances. He had a chance to move during the summer, but he kicked & screamed. How long did the Rangers need put up with this act?

Did I express sympathy?
I simply said I dont take him as entitled here. I take him as unhappy he was moved because he likes NYC. I pointed out that Trouba tended to give fairly complete and in depth answers previously, and was fairly open (which we always appreciated) so it should be expected that he'd do the same at the end.

I 100% agree, that if he was an 8.5 Million dollar player, hell I'll even say a 6m player, he wouldn't have been moved.

I didn't mean to infer you had sympathy for him. I was simply doubling down on my reasons why I staunchly disagree with your take that he's not coming off as entitled.
