trouba is a pampered little bitch

f***ing hate this f***ing sore ass motherf***ing loser
Preach !!!! Screw the player at this point. He wanted the $8 million dollar contract and got it. Played hard, but did not play anywhere near the $8m per season I expected. Peace out.....you made your bed, now you get to lie in it.

If it was at all possible, I'd just keep THE BETTER Trouba. But he seems to have checked out.. for whatever reason. And his stupid contract would warrant a trade sooner rather than later anyway. Sad.
He has checked out. No big hits during this streak which usually causes brawls that hype up the team. He did have the fight with Anderson but looking back, that seemed to be a personal thing between the 2. He really didn't seem interested when the team congratulated him after.

Brady's wife is from NJ but yea - would just as easily make more sense for NJ or Philly. But Brady would be a phenomenal add. Unless we're talking about McDavid or MacKinnon, every player is not without flaws. Can't believe people are anti-adding him.
Is she an intern? Maybe we could work something out.

Props to Drury for having the conviction to use the leverage available to him.

Would prefer Trouba go out of division so he doesn't end Chytil's career but you have to take the options available to you, and Trouba has to go.

How the defense gets remade in his absence will be what really speaks to Drury's capabilities.
Something had to happen and I think Drury knows that if the losing continues with no shakeup to the roster the cross hairs would be fixed on him.

Second part of your post is the most important

Im with ya here. I also think he was a better leader than given credit for, off the ice stuff.

But in the end, his play on the ice sucked for quite a while now.

And his leadership, however revered through personal relationships throughout the club, staff, fans and management - didn't manifest itself into a championship season on a team that may have had enough to take it all the way.

There were also too many instances when this team experienced lengthy meltdowns and you can heap a significant amount of blame onto the core leadership, and Jacob is at the top of that group.

I did not dislike the guy, but this needed to happen
Totally agree. Much blame can also go to him, but you can’t take away his heart and commitment. I’ll never forgive him for some things. - like game 3 in Tampa, but I respect him for his sacrifice and all the heart he brought.

Now we will find out who is all in, and who is a rat off a sinking ship.

We are about to find out for sure who does and doesnt want to be a Ranger.
Didn't Friedman comment that Drury needed to sit down with the players as a team and individually and find out once and for all
who wanted to be here and who didn't. This makes me think that's exactly what he did over the past 3 days and is now moving accordingly.,

Trouba probably decided it was better to just get out now rather than wait another 6 months.

It always bugged me how Trouba and the defenseman allowed it to be open season on our goalies. It's really been manifesting itself in the last month or so. Ive seen Quick and Igor throw more punches than our defenseman. Not good. Very bad in fact.

Isn't this exactly what Tampa did with McDonagh? Not sure why Friedman is bringing up an example from 20 years ago
Yes, it is. They threated to waive him (and Columbus was ready to claim him) if he didn't accept the trade to Nashville. Trouba at least has multiple options, apparently.

Kreider's candid interview was laughed at. But you compare it to what Trouba has said in post games or his interview attitude -- "that's how it works" if he were traded -- the past couple of weeks and you easily see which one still has an ounce of pride and who has checked out.

Cleared it with the wife as well. Half a year not living together (if that is the case) sucks but better than 12-16 months

Im hard on kreider and will not apologize for that. But you are 100% right. Trocheck and Panarin also made similar comments before Kreider started dropping f-bombs. I bet that sent shockwaves around the room because he never speaks up like that. Everything with Trouba was "we know what we need to do". I seriously think Drury did some inventory this week. Who is in, and who is out. Now we'll find out. Kreider should take the ice with the C tonight.
