If Drury fires his 3rd coach in 3 years and in season, the guy has no f***ing clue what he is doing
Gotta think outside he box here. Maybe we play him in goal until he quits, move his locker to the children’s play room, or lastly make Bern the president of the Mika fan club with all access weekly promotional meetingsI sincerely think Mika is going to dig his heels in. I think he's here for a lonnnnng time.
The gimmick pond hockey era needs to die.
The funny part is it has not been proved at all that NYR will leak things. Someone says something in the media and people say, without ANY proof, that Drury/NYR must have leaked it… then something else is talked about in the media and people cite the previous rumors, that were never proved to have been leaked, as precedent for this new rumor to definitely be a leak. It’s so ridiculous. If anything has been proved over the last 6-8 months it’s the Rangers will leak things and not consider the consequences. Or just not care about them
So I don’t put this past Drury and the team at all quite frankly. I know people make him out to be some guy who operates in the shadows, it’s really not the case lol
They make pills to help with that.My wife told me she'd be into some soft tampering tonight.
Would it? I mean look at tonight. Same shitAgreed, the expiration date was this past July. Upgrading the defense over the summer would've went a long way to fixing what was broken. All that was needed was to boot him & Lindren then replace them with actual NHL caliber players & this team might look light years better.
Shit, I'll give him a Nobel Peace Prize if he can manage thatI’ll give Drury a stay of execution if he can find a way to move Mika.
I'd venture to say subtracting two shitty players & replacing them with even average defensemen would've absolutely helped. Especially if they were added over the summer & had a full training camp to train with the team.Would it? I mean look at tonight. Same shit
You prefer to keep this coach??? LolIf Drury fires his 3rd coach in 3 years and in season, the guy has no f***ing clue what he is doing
People are too fixated on personel, it's a culture thing. It's almost always been a culture thing here.I'd venture to say subtracting two shitty players & replacing them with even average defensemen would've absolutely helped. Especially if they were added over the summer & had a full training camp to train with the team.
I'm not saying that fixes all the problems, but they need to start somewhere if they don't plan on tearing it down to the studs.
Or he and Drury are giving the players their own nooses to protect the org from fallout on another player/management blowout.View attachment 942701
If Lavi isn’t going to hold anyone accountable he needs to go too. Constantly changing lines around isn’t the answer. Players need to be benched.
The problem, at least this season, has been the forwards not giving any support. Not existing in the neutral zone, backing straight into the zone when they are offering no resistence, not even being in the frame when the defensemen are trying to get the puck out of the zone.Would it? I mean look at tonight. Same shit
Drury can just frame hiring Q as purely an upgrade at bench boss. Which it is. You have arguably the greatest coach in the history of the sport primed to come in and give this group the reality check it needs. Lav has no solutions. Our D zone coverage is deplorable. Let this core answer all the questions about being coach killers.
Let's not pretend a good system with a good coach comes near New York with a 10 ft pole.K'Andre Miller is Brady Skjei.
fans absolutely hated him when he was here - called him dumb, pretty boy, yadda yadda.
put him in a good system with a good coach and he'll be fine. Leave him to flounder and he looks like this - noncommittal, hesitant, and mistake prone. He's not the preternatural defender or physical presence any of us want, but y'all act like he's the reason we lose these games, or does nothing right on the ice. He might be overrated around the league, but he's underrated here. it's odd.
