Eating crow on what exactly?

I will never eat crow on him not being a shit human being, because he is
Okay then. 1) People make mistakes. 2) Charges were dismissed for lack of evidence. Is it innocent until proven guilty or does that just not apply anymore today? But you do you.

On the hockey side of things, guy can still play and I believe he will be back to be a quality contributor this year and even the next couple years.

You're entitled to yr opinion.
Fact is, my track record is usually correct on this, exceptions to the rule notwithstanding.

Only have to see how foolish rental overreaches have resulted in zero cups and an actual weakening of our chances the following season to KNOW I am right.

til later peeps

You have no track record.

Whether or not it actually happens, or it should, are possibly 2 dif things.
But if the correct course of action is suggested, mgmt needs to be called out if it does not go there.

Stop w/destructive win now mentality, constantly proven to = epic fail.
Our keepers are Fox + Schneider on RD, KAM on LD
Move Jones as soon as we get decent offer.
Gus is a stopgap
Robertson + Scanlin w/Scan pushing out Gus = our immediate future
Jones briefly 3RD after Trouba dealt mostly for futures, Emberson
Lindy to ANA for pick + 2nd rounder selection RD Helleson

What is BEYOND ludicrous is continuing to go w/mo expensive vets over typically cheaper youth, which = restraints vs better cap mgmt

When will R mgmt admit I'm right and listen?
Teams aren't taking on Trouba's cap hit, especially in 2-3 years he'll be a 3rd pairing dman.

Lindgren I'd be leery of giving a long term deal to, his style of play doesn't age well; but I don't think they would trade him now. If/when things go sour with him injury wise, they likely LTIR him. The cap will likely increase significantly by then.

I wish Rangers had forwards like that with some elite skill, guts and heart. Yay another year of these soft finesse figure skaters

It's crazy this kid never got a single NHL game. Lots of competition on those Leaf teams at the time. You'd think he could try breaking in on a bottom feeder.. off to Europe it was though.

We don't have many roster spots but thought it would've been cool to bring him on a 2nd chance this year. Throw in some incentive.. if you make the team, great. If not, you could be like several of the other depth guys Drury brought in that'll be making close to, or more than half a million to play in the minors this year.

All I remember about him was leafs fans putting him into every pretend trade for McDonagh…’he can’t crack our lineup but for your team he’s a top sixer’.

Hilarity aside, Vesey and Goodrow are the only forwards we have willing to back up their teammates. Even Trocheck is more of a yapper and spot-picker. This team desperately needs some skilled toughness. Hoping Cuylle and Othmann can fill that bill. Was hoping Lafreniere would have been that kind of player, but, alas…

Innocent until proven guilty, is in a court of law. Court of public opinion can be different. I don't want him back because he's old, coming off surgery and I'd rather have a bigger stronger guy than another floater. He was someone else's star, I don't need the next aging former star like it's the 70s and 80s again. Except that we already tried him and yeah, I don't want him. Move on.

You remember how Fox wasn't himself when Lindgren was hurt. It showed. Id give him more years only to bring the cap hit down. Most years I'd go is 6.

Well the fall off from Lindgren to Mikkola is significant.

I’ve said it before, Miller-Fox has been better than Lindgren-Fox. This isn’t to say that Lindgren is bad (he isn’t) or that he can’t have a role here even if it isn’t with Fox but the Rangers really shouldn’t break the bank or tie them selves up with term on another guy who isn’t likely to play up
To what ever he’s signed for. If it were just him on that kind of deal that isn’t catastrophic but they’ve already got the summer 2019 duo on their tab as well as 2 other big deals (4 if you want to count Kreider and Trochek)

He scored at a 0.63 PPG clip in his 19 regular season games here, on one hip. That hip has been repaired/resurfaced/whatever you want to call it. At best you can get a 0.60 PPG pace out of a guy who is a multi stanley cup winner, regardless of age.

His hip will be “fixed” and the rest of him will be a year older. He shows up sometime later in the season and we start rearranging things to accommodate him. No thanks

Like the lines projection here towards the end…

Kreider - Mika - Kakko
Panarin - Trocheck - Wheeler
Laf - Chytil - Vesey
Goodrow - Bonino - Pitlick

Thoughts?

And when Laf scores 40 points again he's a bust right? Getting garbage ice time with Vesey as his linemate on the 3rd line and no PP time.

If the Rangera do that they deserve the mediocrity they sow.

Rangers are in a win now mode. Player development is secondary. If Laf outplays Kreider then switch them.

You mean January? Halfway thru the season? Lol what. Everything you said was assumption and not based in fact or even reality considering he has shown he can still produce, as recently as last year.

Actually Laf has as well. And occasionally Kreider. Lafreniere was also second only to Trocheck among forwards in hits. I think Laf is going to fill that sort of role nicely.

And you are not "relegating" Panarin or Kreider. The solution would be to convince Laf to work himself into a RW. Would solve a lot of issues TBH.

Why kane. like seriously?
He did nothing to impress anyone in his short stint, is now coming off a hip surgery, and may even be slower than he was.
Like seriously he scored 12 Points in 19 games in the regular season and had 6 points in 7 games in the playoffs while here. That really isn’t “nothing”
