Rather that than Smith-Trouba..I'm not opposed to the principle of playing ADA on the left side, but I just see a potential ADA-Trouba partnership as a disastwer waiting to happen

Oh jeeze I totally forgot Johnson was on this team nowHow can you tell if your neighbors read hfboards?
Listen for the groans:
Smith - JJ pairing is going to be an option for this coaching staff.
Lmao yea okTony will get eaten alive on the top pairing, I think they'd move up Lindgren before putting Tony up there.
The Rangers know what Tony can do at this point, putting him in a position to not be successful would be dumb considering they're trying their hardest to move him.
They THINK it COULD be ready by spring for high-risk people. Late summer should be general public, and it's not as effective as masks... because 35%of the country is not very mentally evolved, it's probably not going away ever and just mutate down to a cold... according to one suffolk county public health official... my mommy...Anyone on the board have a background in which they can provide an estimate on our vaccine production capacity rates?
Not only does his skillset seem tailored for playing on the left side but he’s one of the smartest players on the team. If you listen to his podcast you can tell he’s one of those guys who’s a hockey nerd in his off time and obsesses over all the little intricacies of the game
Thank you. I appreciate you explaining it in layman's terms. We are allowed to exceed the cap by 6.1125 mil due to potential performance bonuses. Bonuses that aren't earned aren't actually charged against the cap, but they have to be accounted for until they are no longer attainable.
We can't have cap + potential bonuses in excess of 87.6125 mil at any time, but we only accrue daily cap hits based on actual cap spent, and bonuses aren't spent until they are deemed to be earned at the end of the season.
We’ll just find a way. Love this type of fan. You could justify any credit card purchase until the bill comes. You’re wrong and Tampa is showing you exactly what will happen.
Not losing a Zibby or others b/c i part ways with cheap talent in order to obtain more expensive talent.
They’re looking to move him to fill other holes dude. It’s about as obvious as it getsLmao yea ok
But I would go with DeAngelo-Fox is they do it I think. They were really good together
Hopefully you don't have too much of a breakdown when he's notThey’re looking to move him to fill other holes dude. It’s about as obvious as it gets

Yes we have the exact same situation as Tampa. 100%. The Tampa of 4 years ago maybe. Asinine comparison of the two teams today. Hedman made $4m off his ELC, Vasi 3.5, Kucherov 4.7, Stamkos 7.5. Point, off his ELC, and a top 15 C in the game, took 6.5. If our young guns take those contracts or anything close Sergachev would fit comfortably moving forward while keeping Zib. Again, Tampa's problem was paying their role players big $.
But that's not the case, as you know all the kids are going to be getting paid huge $ off their ELC like the Tampa stars are now on their 3rd contracts, right?
Love how you find it different and free willy spend tomorrows dollars today without taking into account the repercussions. As if nobody will get a raise, we’ll adjust and live happily every after lol. Especially with three years of a flat cap.
Happy the Rangers are being fiscally responsible.
We can not give players like Buch 5x6 or Gauthier 7x4,5 with a NMC like TBL did with all of their 2. tier players. Better to ship them out before they get any contract like that. Take a small step back with trading them while under control and get futures back. Its the only way to have a long ongoing window. Guess it helps getting some really good late rounds picks like Point. Also, keep the goalie contract down, never feels like a top goalie is worth their big contracts unlike for other postiions.
I think I would rather have Lundkvist on an ELC for 3 years than have to pay Sergachev when he has been in a sheltered bubble. Don't get me wrong, I'd still probably take a chance on Sergachev, but not for Lundkvist.
I would also hope the Rangers have internally acknowledged that Trouba's NMC goes away just as Lundkvist's ELC would be expiring. That is very good timing if Trouba isn't what you hoped he would be, such that you could pay Lundkvist and have him and Fox slot up on the right side. You could trade out of Trouba's contract at that point.
Where the heck did I say no one's getting a raise? And "spending tomorrow's dollars today"? That's not really it, more cap planning and management. Yeesh this pointless. I feel like I am listening to Francesa.
Lol. Way to bring up Kakko and Laf. Laf is 3 years away. Unless Kakko goes the f off the next two years he's not getting that Marner/Matthews/Eichel second contract. Even if he does you would make it work. And yeah the kids, playing on kids deals. Laf and Miller aren't up until 2023. Fox and Kakko 2022. The cap situation is pretty wide open going forward. Next summer is key getting a guy like Chytil locked down reasonably. That's if he's even worth a long investment. Not saying next season is make or break but it will be very telling. Buchnevich? He's not a core piece, if he wants too much you trade him.
Trouba, Panarin, Kreider. Those are the big contracts on the books. Maybe Zib, but not until 2022. I don't know why you think our situation is like Tampa's at all. They have better players, older players, on bigger contracts. You're acting like Kuch starting making 9m off his ELC.
