Might as well just put him out to pasture now.Barkov is 2 years from UFA. Just sayin'...
Barkov is a 1C and Danault is more like a 3C than a 2C. Barkov would be worth almost whatever contract it would take to get him. Danault? Not so much.Barkov is 2 years from UFA. Just sayin'...

He hasn't ever put up great 2C numbers or even ok 2C numbers with regularity? What’s the argument for Danualt being a 3C? I’m not seeing it.
Danault has much more grit than Domi.I'd rather have Domi considering his dad was here. he has more grit is younger and more upside in my opinion. Danault would cost more than he's worth in my opinion.
I mean, he's not a 2C like Malkin is a 2C, but he's definitely a 2C like Kevin Hayes is a 2CHe hasn't ever put up great 2C numbers or even ok 2C numbers with regularity?
My point is to leave future cap space for a guy like Barkov in case circumstances align like they did with Panarin. He also might be on the market next summer if he doesn't want to resign in Florida.Barkov is a 1C and Danault is more like a 3C than a 2C. And Zib will need a big raise the way he's playing. That's why I'd be hesitant committing long term to support guys of Danault's caliber.
I'd be all over a Strome for Danault exchange. Brings a defensive aspect this team is lacking. Can be moved at the deadline if need be.Danault has much more grit than Domi.
What about Strome straight up for Danault?
You're probably right, but who knows what this pandemic does in 2 years to contracts.if Barkov comes he’s replacing Mika. We are not going to afford UFA deals for both of them.

Hayes isnt a great 2C either, that’s why we traded him at his peak before he hit UFA.I mean, he's not a 2C like Malkin is a 2C, but he's definitely a 2C like Kevin Hayes is a 2C
I really wish but I dont think soIf Kapanen returned the #15 +, Buch or Strome is easily worth a 12-17 pick +
Turris is the one they will get rid of. Possibly even buyout if you believe any of the talk. I would take a flier on him if the deal was right (assuming Strome was moved). 1 or 2 years to rebuild his value, relatively cheap. What about Johansson in NSH? They will likely shake it up
8 million long term so salary needs to go the other way
Well we certainly didn't want to give him $7m a year, but he's a good 2CHayes isnt a great 2C either, that’s why we traded him at his peak before he hit UFA.

Its surprising Turris didn't work out in Nashville. He was a killer for the sens. Nice edge to his game and a very good passer.
That should tell you everything about how useful the selke voting is to determine who is actually defensively sound and who isn't.You'd think Danault had at least been a Selke finalist...
The highest he finished in the voting was 7th... last year.
Hell Ryan Callahan has had higher Selke results.
Selke and Norris are 100% reputation awards that the voters don't put any thought or work intoThat should tell you everything about how useful the selke voting is to determine who is actually defensively sound and who isn't.
