Seemed like last night and recently Miller has been carrying the puck more up the ice. Coincidentally he has looked better and not been making as many egregious turnovers...

Not saying he can't pass the puck at all but he absolutely should be leaning into his strengths which are skating and carrying the puck out of the zone/up the ice rather than trying to hang back and make long, difficult passes all the way down the ice.
Noticed improvement in Miller over the last couple of weeks - coincidently since about the time the win streak started (or when he got whatever was affecting him out of his system over the All Star break). IMO whatever Miller's issue was some off-ice distraction that affected his focus and decision-making.

Reactions: WAIVE BRODZINSKI
Drury got Vesey and Brodzinski for less than 900k each. Asleep at the wheel again.
Better get / stay mad because with Goodrow this hypothetical 4th line would be costing a whooping $5.2m in total.

Brodzinski has so little confidence in his own abilities that he was willing to a sign a deal for basically league minimum? How about betting on yourself.
He has been reading opinions about him on this board for the last three years and figured he just won a lottery when silly Drury offered him this contract.

Not sure if this is sarcasm or not but I think he is being realistic. This is $1.6 million for him and his family. He is 30 and these 37 games are the most he has ever played in an NHL season and almost half of his career points have come this year.

It is a no brainer move for him.

He also, likely, doesn't need to relocate his family which is probably a big deal for someone with young kids and who has moved around a bunch.

Good for Brodz and it shows that the organization will get behind you even if it was originally an unceremonious signing. He's worked his ass off to be here.

One underrated thing that he will bring is that he knows the guys in the A. While all these guys are in training camp and possibly in off-season workouts, Brodz has been in the room leading that group of players. You don't think he hasn't had an impact on Cuylle or even someone like Jones?

I'm sure Edstrom and Rempe love having him around too. It's important to help these guys transition into NHL roles and you have a guy that was the vet that helped you at lower levels with you now. It's a great example for all of them that the hard work pays off.
JB is also a case study in working hard and improving your game. Dude looked like dogshit in his first couple NHL stints, but always went down without a fuss and quietly kept pushing. That's hard to do when you're 30 and it looks like your dream is never going to come true. Happy for the dude.

Different player and different path, but this feels very similar to the Vesey deal last year. Cheap two year deal that rewards a player for doing things the right way. Zero-risk, medium-reward. I'll take that all day. The only person who suffers if this deal doesn't work out is Dolan, and who cares about that POS being out a mil or two?

Are you out of your mind? He’s a career minor leagued, guaranteed NHL money for a player like that is the lottery. Get a clue, seriously.

Yeah, you gotta really put it in perspective. The average NHL career is nothing. You're lucky to get a cup of coffee in the grand scheme of things.

$1.6m is decades of earnings for some average Joes out there. If he's smart with it, he can retire. Leave betting on yourself to the stars.

Jack McBain. Is he available? Zac Jones?
Was dropped to the 4th line at practice today, and I’d probably prefer him to someone like Wennberg. Armstrong has been a pain in the ass to work with for other teams, but they’re a good fit on paper for a trading partner with the Rangers

Read he went 20 games without a G but he’s a good depth target.

AZ has to want players they have tons of picks

I’m betting Jones is traded at the deadline in a deal like this
