In the new pod today, Elliotte mentioned the Rangers were interested in Lindholm.
For sure. Obviously losing Chytil the rangers would be interested in a 2 way center. Would be crazier if they had zero interest. I’m sure they had an offer on the table but were just outbid.

Why we trying to bring a whole bunch of players back we lost with already? There are other players in the league.

I created a guy on NHL 23 named Jim Hornsmacker. He has all 99 slides and scores a lot. No idea why NYR don't just simply use the 'create a player' feature.
They couldn't figure out how to develop a forward on playstation either.

Monahan isn't a fit.

He isn't even worth a 2nd. I know hes having a "nice" year but there are injury concerns and his numbers are minutes+PP driven. He wont get those here.

He sucks defensively too. Easiest of passes.

Jets and i bet he gets a good haul for Montreal lol

IMO....Panarin is much better but for me the jury is still out on Lavi at this point and if the defensive coaching is included in his " coaching " grade ......well we are even at best I figure . Cuylee/Laf are both better but Kakko /Zibs are trending down , Our goalie and D is atrocious . So I really don't think Lavi has helped much but I'm willing to give him the opportunity to turn it around .
I think our coaching including our assistants are better. I do not view some individual players rise or decline as majority coaching related. I think Zibs is past his prime. I think KK is KK. I think Allaire is Allaire and that Shestys struggles are on Shesty. Dittoe for Bread and Laf. I think the overwhelming majority of credit for their personal improvement goes to the players themselves. I do think Peca has helped Vince take his faceoffs to the next level.

So checking line Larry either -

A. Got fed a bag of lies
B. Was being dramatic
C. mis interpreted what he heard (Perhaps they are going to do major shit, but it's going to be major shit with players who still have term left.)

I think teams that are adding early are taking a bit of a risk. There may be players who are a better fit for what they want who will become available in the next few weeks and they'll wish that they held off a bit. It seems like every year there are one or two guys who are in that "we're hearing some murmurs but it doesn't sound likely" group who end up getting moved on deadline day. We're sort of seeing that with Philly already and I wouldn't expect that Seattle/Pitt/Washington/Nashville to be far behind.

So happy no Monahan.

Hope PIT continues to flounder and Crosby is approached about waiving.

In reality though Gourde is my first choice. There are a bunch more out there

We would have to give up half our roster, all of our Draft picks, our top 4 prospects, and a billion dollars to acquire Crosby at these prices.
