People defending Dolan here. Unbelieveable. Are they new? Naive? Or just on the payroll? Love the Bayville parties? lmao. What or who is the one constant every year (now we can't even say Jim Ramsay!)?

No Cups since 94. No Knick Relevance since 99.

What year did Dolan become part owner? What year did he get full control?

Give me a break.

Just go low end at the deadline and see what happens this offseason.

Kevin Hayes for Matthew Robertson + 4th
Joel Edmundson for Bobby Trivigno + 6th

Offseason plans for me would be to trade Trouba and Lindgren and I’d seriously look at signing Demelo or Schultz and re-signing Edmundson or signing Dillon. All to short term deals.

I think you’re very light on both returns but I like Hayes and Edmundson for our needs.

Vatrano and Tank both got shut down in the playoffs. Pass.

Get f*ckin' creative Drury.
Gotta figure out a way to get the younger Vatrano (kaliyev) w/o giving up a roster piece. Contract allows them to still get a c, and gives kz(tho I wish pl would split them up) a shoot first winger. Come on Dru bring the Staten Island boy home.

I'm down with trying some outside the box type of shit for sure. We have plenty of not so much 'spare' pieces - but pieces we can replace/hope to replace from within. As much as I've been concerned about teams knowing what's up with Fil and bending us over this TDL .. We also have pieces which I'm very confident are some of the best out there on the market. + that 1st & 2nd.

If Vatrano is the second 'shoot first' banger goal scorer we can grab, I'd be ok with that. If he's the premier scoring piece we get, I will be incredibly 'meh' on that idea working. He will not be the guy here, doesn't Anaheim use him like we use bread?!

15. On the flip side of that, the worst goalie since Jan. 1? That would be none other than Igor Shesterkin, who has an .863 save percentage and has allowed 9.4 goals above expected in 10 games. You have to figure he’ll bounce back from this to close the season, but if Igor isn’t Igor, the New York Rangers aren’t a contender, period.

16. What hurts those odds further is Filip Chytil being out for the season. The 2017 first-round pick looked ready to break out big this season but instead has been limited to just 10 games. The Rangers are a pretty strong bet to make the playoffs, but without Chytil, their odds of going further do go down.

With Chytil returning, their odds of winning it all were 4.9 percent and their odds of winning a round were 54.9 percent. Those odds have dropped to 4.1 percent and 52.7 percent, respectively. Not earth-shattering by any means, but still noteworthy.

not necessarily. He wouldn’t get any pp time or the minutes he’s getting now here…… just like the young guys we already have.
He had 48 EV points last season. Also, Having Zegras, a center, would mean PP2 could potentially become a thing considering Zib and Tro are both on PP1, the options for a PP2 center have been Bonino, Goodrow, and Brodzinski. Look at the junk Laf has had to work with on PP2 for 20 seconds. And then people call him a bad PP player.

Give PP2 half the PP time, split the PP time, and have Zegras-Laf connection on the unit.

Edstrom would be a huge help. I asked in the Hartford thread, does anyone have any more detailed information than week to week? He could 100% play on the fourth line and help. Heck, maybe putting him with the wonder twins could make that line faster.

I'm fine with Lindholm gone. Get a modest 3C and maybe a depth DMan like a Nick Leddy.

Btw I’d like to add that all of you blaming Dolan for anything are out of touch. Dolan for the most part has always been hands off with the rangers.

Him saying he wants to win doesn’t mean he picks the players
He picks the people who pick the players. The owner has to hire good managers. Has Dolan done that?
