We have Nino Niederreiter already. He goes by “Kaapo Kakko”

Seriously Kaapo and Nino’s career trajectories and play styles to this point are almost identical

If the Strome rumor is true, need to be careful with that dude. He was never fast to begin with and we've seen players with lower body injuries who were not fast before like Oscar Lindberg, forced out of the league.

Would San Jose buy out Vlasic? That's an ugly cap hit for a long time.

Also, why does no one mention Bonino as a depth center option? Connecticut product. If the Sharks are going full rebuild, why keep him? He's like poor man's Copp at this point. Probably a better skater AND he's over 51% on the dots.

He has a modified NTC but I highly doubt the Rangers are one of the five teams on that list (my guess is either Canada minus Toronto or Montreal or Arizona, two Alberta teams, Peg, Ottawa).

Something that Vatrano and Motte both brought that this team sorely needed was speed and a consistent high end motor. It was evident it was needed almost immediately when they were injected into the lineup. Re-signing Motte is a good move but the team needs to consider adding another piece with that element. I really like Hornqvist if he’s bought out.

Bonino is SLOW

We do know how rentals work right? Combine that with Copp and Strome's 1 and only decent shot at a pay day with teams like Seattle with an open check book and guaranteed top 6 and PP1 time...

Blows up the system? We have a logjam of defenseman and forwards that can be used to get players to fix needs or style.

You need to read something else other than Larry otherwise those shelter drills under your school desk might get tiresome.
Read Larry brooks ?

What I said about is common sense .
We gave up a 1st and a player for a guy we’re not gonna resign .

We have a GM who gave away Buchenvich and thought 3 years for Nemeth was smart .

Not to Mention the term for Goodruw is way too high .

Lastly Drury is a Sather guy

They are nothing a like - one guy is a force with an edge the other is the worst conditioned athlete in the nhl.

They are exactly a like, to a tee. Look at Nino and his numbers (advanced as well) when he was Kakko’s age. Nino doesn’t play with an edge either

We avoid contact. I'm talking about Panarin being ragdolled.

We have Ryan Reaves. No matter how much people shit on him he's nearly the entire reason we weren't 'bullied'.
You are really overstating this. That can be said about a lot of top 6 players around the league. We have quite a few guys who play physical and the number 1 assassin in the league in Trouba supposedly. Beside Reaves there is also Lindgren, Schneider, Kreider, Goodrow, Blais, and Laf who can play physical and I see Miller becoming more like that as well. We do need a little less perimeter play from some people and more drive to the middle create havoc guys though. We will see what the upcoming changes bring this off season.

Drury is very much his own man.

The whole notion that Sather is the GM and pulling the strings is false. If the Rangers got Patrick Kane, ok you can make that argument.

Drury's GM style is very similar to how he was as a player on the Avs/Flames/Sabres; he's substance over style, quiet, and thoughtful.

Leaks have dried up. Sather and Gorton used to leak a lot to the beat writers. Canada doesn't have as much info even as they used to.

To further debunk the myth that Sather runs the team, Drury very quietly brought in new scout and a front office with no ties to Sather. My hope is this pattern continues and if Campbell does well or makes an impression with the prospects, they bring her in full time to dump Cacciao or whatever the skills coach's name is (Sather crony). That guy needs to go.

Reaves was pretty good. Could have done a little more overall but he made a positive impact.

The whole toughen up mentality had a lot to do with Gallant and his staff. The overall culture of the club improved.

Buchnevich's return was $.75 on the dollar, but that is Rangers tax. It happens more often than not.

So? He's a good player. There are plenty of good players who are slow.

Is that the same Drury that was nominated for executive of the year?
How many teams are offering Larry Brooks GM jobs?

This 2C spot is going to define this team’s summer. So many names out there. I’m very impatient. I want to know what our boy has in store for us.
soon enough, I don't think Drury is going to wait all summer to figure out the 2C dilemma. I expect a couple trades for us leading up to or on the day of the draft. Which thankfully is this week

Kakko plays nothing like Nino has at any point of his career. Wat.

Reactions: Go Rangers
Id personally wanna find a young center thats on entry level deal, lets just say we got someone like Lavoie or preferably Hayton. If they aren't immediately ready just place Chytil or Goodrow in their spot til they are. If we get PLD, he's as good as gone the following deadline because it sounds like he's going to MTL as a ufa. Id prefer to get someone who fits with the actual core of this team age and contract wise. Does Lundkvist plus a bit get you Hayton, a center familiar with Lafreniere? That would be my ideal scenario but in typical Ranger form we'll go big game hunting instead.

TB was more physical than us, Lindy was injured. CK was not playing physical for some reason. The rest of those guys play limited minutes. TB always made sure they got the last hit, slash or crosscheck.

Yes and Tampa won 2 cups and went to the finals. I'm not saying there isn't room for improvement because there certainly is. I'm saying we also dished it out and are more physical than a lot of teams. Also Goodrow was playing nowhere near 100% and Blais missed most of the season. Both of those guys were brought in for series just like the Tampa series. Too bad we didn't get to see them healthy. Again, there is still work to be done in that respect.
