Do you want to elaborate? They play the same game
Nino is a semi dirty agitator who's really good at skirting the line of taking a penalty and not. None of that is Kakko. They're both big and euro and dont get a lot of shots through.

I feel like we have the pieces for a middle 6 center without even touching our starting lineup.

Gauthier Georgiev Lundqvist Robertson Othmann

There should be centers out there that don’t cost a fortune.

Dylan strome
Barrett Hayton
Christian Dvorak
Sean Monahan
Mark Scheifele
Nick Schmaltz

Hell man offer Patrice Bergeron the most we can for a one year deal for a cup run.

None of these names except Schmaltz really does anything for me.

Hayton would be a fine pick up as a reclamation project I guess.

Florida’s just fired a Jack adams finalist
Actually it still means a lot.

I wish Bergeron was attainable. Perfect option for 2C.

Yea dude honestly

Bergeron Stastny and Malkin on a one year deal for a cup run. That way we don’t have to trade away any young pieces. And we could save them for a Lundkvist for Hayton type of trade, or something along those lines.

Nino is not an agitator nor is he remotely dirty

He had an option and he exercised it. Is it his fault that Hartford is a tire fire? The KHL was better for his development and Drury was starting to look like a bad partner.
Nah. He would have been in Hartford for a week or so. Then he would have played a lot of NHL games and would have gone through 3 post season series. THAT would have been better for his development.

soon enough, I don't think Drury is going to wait all summer to figure out the 2C dilemma. I expect a couple trades for us leading up to or on the day of the draft. Which thankfully is this week
It's not a dilemma. Just get someone who is responsible and get someone who has navigated the royal road to play on the Messier line with Panarin. It's not that hard.

Gourde and TyJo.

Seravelli continuing to throw shit at the wall with Kadri to NYR. He’s a great player and a good fit but there’s no chance he fits under the cap
can't see him taking any sort of discount this summer, not at this point in his career. And even if he did take one it would only be to stay in COL. It sucks since Kadri is exactly what this teams needs at the moment and if we did have more cap wiggle room we could add him without having to lose Chytil or Kakko. We'd be so much stronger down the middle

Zibanejad
Kadri
Chytil
Goodrow

Funny thing is, had they made a similar trade for Lehkonen (Nils+2) in addition to their other moves, they probably walk away with the cup this year.
Nope

I'd stay away from Lavoie. Doesn't seem like anything special.

Hayton is a good idea. Arizona needs anything and everything.
Lavoie is literally Gauthier 2.0 and Hayton has shown considerably less than Chytil. Isn’t even a C. We need established players at this point, too many guys to grow, and AZ has 0 incentive to move Hayton at his lowest value.

hearing on nhl network radio kadri at 32 will want 7.5 million or more. Sure “hey Nazem wanna come on broadway for 5.5?”
“Yeah sure CD let me get back to you on that”

He exercised a mutually agreed upon European out clause, maybe Drury doesn't have much in between his ears for signing that and then thinking he can send down their best prospect and he'll just put up with it instead of stand up for himself lol. This is all part of a performance art though and Kravtsov has already planned out his entire career, we're in Act II: The Redemption Arc now... more to come in my book

Drury has enough between the ears to know what it takes to have a career in NA and win a Stanley Cup. Kravstov hasn't even won a Gagarin Cup. Why wouldn't Kravstov want to prove himself here against the best of the best instead of in an inferior league? Because someone made him a lil uppyset and he+his camp decided that acting vindictive is better for his career? It's his right to exercise his out clause - However that doesn't seem too confident in himself by enacting it to return to an inferior league where he's just comfortable. Not going to grow staying in your comfort zone.

If he's so confident in himself, he should have had the cajones to stay in NA and show he can do it in NA. Running away from criticism from your boss doesn't scream "confidence" or ownership of himself to me. Kakko took a game 6 ECF healthy scratch like a champ and says he wants to prove that he's better and that he belongs here. He bounced back from a massive, public L and is pressing on. That's mental strength.

Hopefully Kravstov realizes there are a dozen other guys behind and around him that are more than willing to swallow their lumps and put in the work. Kravstov hasn't proven he's willing to handle the relatively common hardships/setbacks that 99% of the players in the NHL have faced. God help us if we ever get to a point where Gallant can scratch this kid, he's going to hop on a flight mid-game.
