Are Rydahl's 1 point, 2 shots, -3, and 4 PIM in 3 games the numbers of someone who deserves a promotion? Or was it the 1 assist, 1 shot, 41 FO%, and 40 CF% in 4 preseason numbers that showed he should be on the team?

No it was hockey sense that stats don't typically show.

Oh, and in his 48 minutes of preseason NHL play you were able to identify he had the hockey sense required to be an NHL player? This is likely just the next Justin Richards or whatever random guy people latch on to for some reason that is a nothing prospect/player.

you must be one of those cool people who dont have to watch the games cause they got fancy numbers websites to read. Party on dude....:yo:

I think at this point NYR should move on from Blais. Trade him for a mid pick to a team like Ott/Wild/Jets(team with some space and he might be more useful there). NYR could really use the extra cap space for the deadline and it would allow them to carry 14 F with all these d2d injuries.

I'd trade Reaves before Blais.

But in truth, I'd trade both

Did they lose a bet.

They both look miserable

Landeskog is on LTIR for Colorado, so they’re going to have huge space available at the deadline.

Might as well give them the Cup again.
LTIR doesn't help a team accrue cap space. In fact, in can work against accrual.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I think waivers for the first month are based on last year’s standings, so we didn’t have a chance at Bellows. He would’ve been a good depth add. Harpur was signed off his PTO in HFD and is on waivers to get sent down

Everyone needs to take a moment to review Cap Friendly before speculating on these player moves. The Rangers couldn't fit Bellows. They couldn't have fit Ethan Bear although he wouldn't really have been a fit. They can't fit Chychrun, even at 50% without major surgery. The Rangers have about $850K (without Gauthier) in cap space today. Plan accordingly.

Based on my count there have been five players since 2010 that were undrafted, made their NHL debut at 27+, and played at least 100 games. The best one is Derek Ryan. After that is like...Jan Rutta or Pierre-Edouard Bellemarre. Don't get your hopes up.

It was evident that he impacted the game in a positive way from watching him play. Worth more of a look than Gauthier.

Carpenter is the 4C. Gauthier was called up because Kravtsov was injured, not because of Chytil.
Kravtsov is healthy and Chytil is not. Gauthier is still up and Rydahl is not.

Everybody that's not playing is always the solution to who's playing around here despite little to support doing so.

you might not agree with it, but it's doable.

People dumping on Blais, i thought his last two games were good actually especially considering his linemates
Absolutely. He is getting going. Very active and noticeable. He hasn’t been able to get to the front of the net yet, but he’s working on it. He seems…I don’t even want to say it…but he looks spry and confident.
