It's incredible how the Rangers are always seemingly behind the curve when the league is making a transition to a different style of play. The Rangers are only allowed to ice one defenseman at a time that can actually move the puck. Unless they are over 6-2 then exceptions can be made.
No, he's a staple in the lineup. Are we ever going to scratch reaves?
In this case, Gauthier deserves it. He outplayed Kravtsov in camp. He has 'tenure' and 'familiarity'... that goes a long way with Gallant...With Chytil out, I still don’t understand why Gauthier was called up and not Rydahl.
You call up Rydahl to center the 4th line and Goodrow centers the 3rd. It’s not that hardIn this case, Gauthier deserves it. He outplayed Kravtsov in camp. He has 'tenure' and 'familiarity'... that goes a long way with Gallant...
Carpenter is the 4C. Gauthier was called up because Kravtsov was injured, not because of Chytil. You call up Rydahl to center the 4th line and Goodrow centers the 3rd. It’s not that hard
No it was hockey sense that stats don't typically show. Are Rydahl's 1 point, 2 shots, -3, and 4 PIM in 3 games the numbers of someone who deserves a promotion? Or was it the 1 assist, 1 shot, 41 FO%, and 40 CF% in 4 preseason numbers that showed he should be on the team?

you must be one of those cool people who dont have to watch the games cause they got fancy numbers websites to read. Party on dude....Oh, and in his 48 minutes of preseason NHL play you were able to identify he had the hockey sense required to be an NHL player? This is likely just the next Justin Richards or whatever random guy people latch on to for some reason that is a nothing prospect/player.
I think at this point NYR should move on from Blais. Trade him for a mid pick to a team like Ott/Wild/Jets(team with some space and he might be more useful there). NYR could really use the extra cap space for the deadline and it would allow them to carry 14 F with all these d2d injuries.
Did they lose a bet.
LTIR doesn't help a team accrue cap space. In fact, in can work against accrual.Landeskog is on LTIR for Colorado, so they’re going to have huge space available at the deadline.
Might as well give them the Cup again.
Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I think waivers for the first month are based on last year’s standings, so we didn’t have a chance at Bellows. He would’ve been a good depth add. Harpur was signed off his PTO in HFD and is on waivers to get sent down

It was evident that he impacted the game in a positive way from watching him play. Worth more of a look than Gauthier.Oh, and in his 48 minutes of preseason NHL play you were able to identify he had the hockey sense required to be an NHL player? Kravtsov is healthy and Chytil is not. Gauthier is still up and Rydahl is not.Carpenter is the 4C. Gauthier was called up because Kravtsov was injured, not because of Chytil.

Beautiful
Best costume hands down is Kreider’s. He actually looks like a real wheelchair. Must be store bought.
Everyone needs to take a moment to review Cap Friendly before speculating on these player moves. The Rangers couldn't fit Bellows. They couldn't have fit Ethan Bear although he wouldn't really have been a fit. They can't fit Chychrun, even at 50% without major surgery. The Rangers have about $850K (without Gauthier) in cap space today. Plan accordingly.
Absolutely. He is getting going. Very active and noticeable. He hasn’t been able to get to the front of the net yet, but he’s working on it. He seems…I don’t even want to say it…but he looks spry and confident.People dumping on Blais, i thought his last two games were good actually especially considering his linemates
