Man, Torts coming back would be pretty wild... I don't see it happening, even if the Rangers wanted to he strikes me as too prideful to come back no matter how much money we throw at him. There is a sick curiosity in me that wonders what he could get out of our roster though.

Probably something like Kakko traded and Laf retiring at 28. But wouldn’t that be interesting??

Feel like Gallant seems to be the fan favorite choice, but I see zero mention oh him by any of the news outlets.

Im doubting it would be Babcock, but he has been mentioned. I also doubt it would be Tortorella. I mean, that didnt end so well. Then again, is everyone certain that Quinn is out? Seems like any mention of Quinn being terminated is speculation from Bloggers. We get better insight here on HF then we do from most of the Bloggers out there.

Drury's non committal answer on Quinn kind of tells the story there.

IF you want to support you guy, you get out and give him that support 100% to squash any indication otherwise.

Drurys comment on the coaching didn’t seem like an endorsement by any means

I really want to see if Kravtsov can play in the middle today.

He is defensively responsible enough, and it would clear alot of the question marks we have.

I was on the let's get Dubois bandwagon, but I hated how he acted on the way out of CBJ.

NYC would eat him alive.
Even when Kravtsov has been on Zibanejad’s line he’s still been the first forward back the vast majority of the time, his defensive play is a revelation

Has Brandon Sutter been brought up as an option? I don't care what his father did against the Rangers 35 years ago. I care about faceoff %, leadership, grit.

Don't sleep on Knoblacuh. Drury hired him.

People being so sure that Quinn is gone is comforting for sure, but I’ll believe it when I see it.

No thanks to Torts.

I’m interested Babcock despite his warts.

I really just want a guy that can modify tactics mid-game and that will do whatever is necessary to ensure that our top draft picks become first line players. A guy that is willing to let lines establish chemistry and doles out ice time in a reasonable way.

Larkin for miller, pujaniemi, first

lindholm for lundkvist and a small plus

zibby traded for futures including a first
Strome traded for futures

larkin
Lindholm
Chytil
Barron

down the middle.

would love it

That is the direction I'd like to see them go, possibly not those exact names or trades (although I like those players), yet something like trading out some of the vets for youth/futures, then bringing in some more versatile vets using youths/futures.

Not sure which youth I'd be all that comfortable letting go of, but still something like that where it's not, let's go get vets just because, or let's go get youth just because.

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Torts and Panarin have issues in Columbus?

Not that I saw. Torts was livid that CBJ lost Panarin to free agency.

He described him 'shitting his pants' but that was about him being sick and out of the lineup.

Edge has said that NYR's dream coach isn't available ATM, but who knows if that has changed with the new management.
