Better than Trouba, at least in the game we played against Florida. He’s a better skater than him easily lol
Lol Staal was horrendous in that game

Is Sam Lafferty the best we can do for Kravtsov? I mean I know Kravtsov has proven nothing but at this point maybe try to include him in a package for Tarasenko? Not the remix that anyone really wants.
Sounded like Brooks was trying to wish it into existence more so than it being an actual thing though so that’s good.
Also Lafferty for Kravtsov who says no?*
*this question is for everyone other than Jovo
Ratings are apparently down? No shit. People want to watch rivalries.
It sounds like Players and the League are discussing a new schedule/playoff format... While they're at it, fix the dumb ass cap situation.
With the Rangers at 14 forwards, Leschyshyn is the obvious candidate to be sent down. Maybe Gauthier.
I don’t disagree, but the Rangers like to keep one extra forward and one extra defenseman.Send Hajek down. He’s not going to play.
Speculation given he was scratched by Hartford yesterday and is being held out of the AHL ASG tomorrow.Where are you guys seeing Cuylle up?
Did the team even practice? 10 days off with no practice? I'm sure we'll look great tomorrow

I think the difference with the bolded is it could be a 2024 2nd with the condition it becomes a 2024 1st if they make the SCF / plays a certain amount of games / etc., to protect ourselves.
Tank has a full NTC. He will go where he chooses.I cant see Taresanko going for a 1st in this draft AT ALL. They couldnt move Tank last year or the start of this year.. What has changed? He still wants out. All i see is its a 2nd rounder in 24' or a 3rd rounder this year. Cant see him going for more than that honestly.
+So who exactly among our forwards are the new Core. Except for FC who has really stepped up. Seriously you don't run a franchise on a whim and a prayer. People sometimes want to turn over teams like they are managing a fantasy team or playing Madden football.Panarin or Kreider will need to be moved after the season. Drury needs to move out money and break up the LW logjam. Panarin will have to want to leave but maybe telling him his ice is being cut and brining in more of a hardass coach will make him want out. Kreider will be easy to trade imo. His contract is good and he can still play, I’d be sad to see him go but it’s a business. He’d have more control over where he goes this summer, before his NMC downgrades to an NTC in 2024. It’s time to start moving toward the new core, especially if we have a short playoff run
The players are going to need to make concessions by the end of this season in order for the cap to go up. If they fully pay back the owners from the COVID season, the cap will go up. The owners won't go back on that agreement. How many years we gonna get suckered into this “the cap is rising” shit? Every contract we have signed in the past 3 years was justified bc the “the cap is rising”
Weird how the league and owners aren’t on the up and up about that!

The only reason this is happening is because they got paid for games they didn't play. The NBA didn't, so their cap continues to rise. I'm not sure the players knew their decision would cause this to last this long.
If they choose to do this now, I think the Rangers will be fine cap wise to get everything done. A lot of players are up for new deals at the end of next season. I think they'll want to get this paid off ASAP so they get two raises of the cap.
The marketing has gone to shite. The issue isn’t isolated to covid payments. The NBA is a well run league. The NHL is horribly run. This just compounds it all.
The NBA committed to growing the game worldwide 30+ years ago. They’ve been insanely successful.
I don’t think people truly realize the reach when the stupid “McDavid makes less than a NBA bench player that’s so criminal” memes start flying.
Hard to hang “we paid you for games you didn’t play during covid” when you spent the last 10 years turning the league into Serie A.
If that's true, they're going to be sellers at the deadline... Cablevision doesn't have that kind of foresight... Any team that takes a 2 week break at the beginning of a stretch run has no intention of being competitive... unless, did they all do' that?Where are you guys seeing Cuylle up?
Did the team even practice? 10 days off with no practice? I'm sure we'll look great tomorrow
I mean, we can’t compare the NHL to the NBA. Hockey is simply not as popular in America. Hockey is by its very nature an exclusive sport that will never be as popular as the big three American sports that can all be played in backyards and playgrounds. The marketing has gone to shite.
There was a heavy Crosby/Ovi push a decade ago... We have the greatest player since Wayne Gretzky and casuals do not even know he exists. He needs to leave Edmonton.
NBA has marketable stars. Curry and LeBron won 8 out of the last 11 championships. Even guys like Giannis winning in an off year...
We need guys like McDavid winning cups. Who's the face of the NHL? There isn't one, the league has done a terrible job promoting/marketing their players.... My greatest fear is that Hughes is going to get that push.
Been saying to bring back Staal for weeks here. I guess Brooks really does read what we post. The return of Staalsie?

Jack Hughes’ brilliance for Devils right there with area’s past phenoms
Fifteen goals in the Devils’ past 14 games is more of an attention-grabber, so indeed are the 26 goals Hughes has recorded in 29 games since Thanksgiving.nypost.com
Brooks was writing about the Devils and he mentioned the Rangers with the Staal.
Hughes is lucky the Devils won the lottery. He would be playing on the third line as a wing on the Rangers. Everyone would be asking what's wrong with Hughes. Why can't the Rangers develop first line forwards? The Devils do have not anyone blocking Hughes. The Rangers have a million forwards playing ahead of their young guys. The Rangers cater to them because of their contracts.
