I'm interested to see if Gorton looks for a couple of guys who can provide a bit of sandpaper AND play the game. Dumba plays with a bit of an edge. I think it was something the team lacked on a consistent basis last year.

Hate Gallagher. Want no part of him.

I also dont see the rangers and montreal making a trade given the McDonagh trade and the rangers ousting them in the playoffs the last two times they met.[/QUOTE

If not him ,someone like an Avery ,Still think we need some fire in this lineup

I think both teams did really well. MTL addressed their issue and got more firepower while Tampa got their potential stud D.

His name has been out there for so long that people are really starting to underrate Duchene. He's such a dynamic talent and he'd be fantastic on this team with their speed game. A guy with that much skill, coming onto a new team with a chip on his shoulder after being spurned by his favorite team and traded by his childhood idol? Look out.

What are we thinking it would take to get Duchene? I would think the Islanders have more to offer Colorado.

Habs overpaid on Drouins contract no? LW best season last year was terrible the year prior. They only bought out what? 1 UFA year?

$5.5 is a lot right now.

That going to be a ****ing steal if he plays anywhere near to his potential. He could easily be a consistent 60-70 point player.

That's the thing though, he hasn't really shown those signs, at least, not on a consistent basis. One 53pt season and you get 6 years $5.5 per?

He's only just turned 22 and put up those 53 points this past year. Montreal is betting that he will continue to improve. I think it's a solid bet.

I thought it was a fair deal for both sides. Drouin has the potential to be a really great player.

Well if the rumors are to be believed, Sakic wanted "3 or 4 high-end pieces" for him according to Bobby Mac. That's way more than I think the Rangers can pay.

3 or 4 pieces ... Yeah, NO! He's not Nathan MacKinnon. Teams are not gutting their team for him. I think a fair price is a full time player of his point production, a solid prospect, and a pick.

$5.5M is very fair. quality high potential young player already with a decent showing. with enough quabidy support, it could be a value deal by next march
