Chytil should have a break out year. He's our 2C. It's why I'm not against signing him to 6 years this offseason to a bargain.

I wish. Maybe they would do Strome + 3rd.

Strome and Chytil are both out of place as both should be our 2C.

Our 3rd line is going to be our forecheck line and they both don't fit the roll.

To be fair, fans of other teams on the mains would find reasons to laugh at us if we somehow managed to get McDavid. That said, I really know nothing about Nemeth but hopefully he'll work out.

fair enough. if he is here for 1-2 years for a couple of million who else are we getting to fit that final LD slot? Maybe the Swede impact is a little overrated but it can't hurt with Nils coming in. I don't wanna rush Jones/Robertson for that final spot

i think having him as partner for Nils definitely gives him more value to us compared to other teams. It shouldn’t be a long term commitment so I’m all for it personally

Would you entertain that if you had gourde? youd retain 4 years of his contract at 50% for a pending ufa that nyr cant seem to give away for 2 years? i mean come on...

gourde is easily the more coveted player even if even up. this board isnt the only place that sees how valuable of a player he is...

Nemeth is such a low risk signing. He doesn’t work out you bury him. He is just cover for our young guys. Gallant is not Quinn if it’s not working he will not play. Needed to sign someone for 2 years as cover at a semi low amount, this signing checks a bunch of boxes.
