I think we should let a grown up coach try before we throw away our most talented center prospect

I'm all for keeping him hell I'm even good with him playing with Kreider and Goodrow 13+ minutes a game on the "3rd line", Rangers can find a center without trading Chytil I would assume

Yeah I’m not falling for this again. Expecting everything to be quiet tm as well. Maybe a few moves

Translation: Somebody please get my client out of Buffalo.

I’m surprised he’s not leaking more shit frankly. Eichel is probably getting antsy. The silver lining for him is, he knows this can’t go on for more then a year. Sabres will never let his NMC kick in before they deal him. They’d get bent right over

Talking head #1: Unprecedented amounts of talk between GMs, so much is gonna happen!

reality: Crickets chirping occasionally interrupted by nervous farting and shuffling of dip cups by said GMs.

Chytil literally just needs to play. The only thing holding back his production is his minutes and lack of PP time. His point totals are artificially limited by his usage, he’s going to pop off when a real coach decides to let him.

Half of you wanted to throw away Buch 2 years ago too when he was snake bitten as all hell.
I might be in the minority, but I really want to trade Buch while his value is sky high. I know he’s paced at 70 pts in the short seasons, but Buch has been prone to go on long streaks over an 82 game season without showing up on the stat sheet.
Almost Kreider esque in that regard. I personally don’t think he’s the best PK fwd in the NhL either. That’s homer glasses big time. And I think the cap hit for his next deal is better allocated elsewhere in the line up.
But I’m also high on Kakko and Kravtsov so there’s that too. Also, I don’t think teams are going to forget Kravtsov ran home to Russia when he didn’t get a spot. And dumbass Dave played him on 4th line with grinders here. So his value in trade isn’t all that high/ or where it should be. I think we’re better off keeping him here under gallant and pumping him full of top 2 line minutes with actual talent.

With the draft being tomorrow, I'm starting to think we do pick at 15 (unless we move up/down) because outside of Eichel who out there that we know of available is worth trading the 15th pick for?

On the trade rumors board someone said Carolina wanted to buy out unrestricted free agent years and not sign him to just a 2-year deal like Detroit did. The contract he signed with Detroit leads him right up to UFA.

If they couldn't get a team to offer more they should have just signed him. This is the first semi competent goalie they've had in forever and 2 years of him is worth more than the 3rd round pick they got (The chances of them drafting an NHL player with that pick are low. Even if they get one, the chances of them drafing a player who will be as impactful as the goalie will be over the next 2 years are even lower. ) They're legitimately good, they've had everything but the goaltending and now that they have one who is good they just give it away?

I get the logic of WHY they moved him, but that doesn't mean that they should have, especially for that return.

Yeah well good luck getting that by offering him 1.5 million AAV as some insider posted on twitter earlier.
