Getz is still a quality middle 6 center. He’s old and would be cheap and on short term. He’s exactly what we would need, if he’s willing to leave Anaheim

Would love Getzlaf and then would take whatever we get for Strome. Good leadership and insurance if we want to package Chytil for something bigger.

I'm not believing a single word about this Getzy talk until it's on the Rangers site.

No way he's leaving the West Coast.

The "reporter" for "BOFA SPORTS" seems to be acting out some sort of NHL journalist role play with some other twitter folk.

Hey guys, there's a specter of 11 year old Amish boy in the woods behind my house screaming that the Rangers just signed the ghost of Gordie Howe to a 6 year contract. Is he legit?? Says he has 11 Twitter followers.

I mean he's likely to have more contact with Gordie's ghost than any of us in the land of the living, so probably...
although the 'being able to use twitter' thing seems a bit suss

Getzlaf is a good leader. But he has really slowed down. I saw him play in person before the shut down and I wasn't terribly impressed. He's not the player he once was.

Hes one of the best fighters in the league. Top 3 for sure. Not a punching bag.

He’s isn’t a very good hockey players however.

That's what I meant. I didn't mean he wasn't good at fighting, just that a player who is good for nothing but fighting is a punching bag.

It's not like Seattle didn't just draft Oleksiak, Soucy, Larsson, Borgen, Fleury all of whom are 6'3+ as well as Bastian, Geekie, True who are 6'3+ and guys like Tanev who will hit everything that moves. Sure, none of them are golden gloves boxers, but they have plenty of size and toughness. It's a waste of a pick with Grundstrom (physical, reasonably talented safe bet to be a decent third liner) or Clague (young, talented puck moving D) available for free.

Incarcerated Bob says we have 2 solid offers on the table for Buch. IB has very good sources in the NY area. Is an Isles fan and was the first to break Panarin to NYR iirc. I know he’s not a verified source but he’s called a lot before
I’d bet dim Jim has the 9th OA for him on the table rn. They need a top 6 wing and top 4 D

the other offer? Your guess is good as mine. Whoever trades for him better have the 6.5-6.75 to lock him up long term

I’m gonna need a pic of his head still attached to his body to believe this
