I'm ready to go to war with this team as it is currently constructed. If we upgrade on Strome @ 2C, great..if not lets see what Gallant brings the team.

I'd prefer to be real stingy with our prospects. We want to move out these bigger contracts in a few years, well we need to make sure we have cheaper players to backfill the spots. Jones, 1st round pick, Strome. Buch + for a 2C, sure. Otherwise, keep the ship in the direction it is going.

I am glad you are but most aren't and I am sure management isn't either. People's jobs are dependent on this team performing well. It s is pretty easy for you to say you are ready to go to war with this team sitting on a recliner watching games from home.You have no stake in this.
Not sure how you forgot the shortcomings this team had last year and why you think all of a sudden things would be different. We are off to a decent start with Goodrow but there is still some work to do. Other than that move what have we really done to address the needs? I am sure the coaching will be better but like in any sport you need the players if you want to make a difference. Last I saw the coach doesn't skate during the game.

Just a note, teams are not in a hurry to make moves. The draft is coming, free agency, a normal year there is a trade window basically around 7 July and 14 July or something like that. Teams knowing where they are at after everything, and they get a few days to finalize what has been discussed for a while. And they want to get it out of the way before a little vaccation, camp prep etc.

Some trades could come now. But they may just as well come like 4-11 August…
