I don't like the Goodrow deal but I'm going to reserve judgment of Drury untill we actually have a better idea what the roster looks like on game 1 or training camp. Apparently lots of irons in the fire so...

Can thank the finesse culture of the team for bringing in Goodrow at the price paid. It is what it is. Someone mentioned Kreider-Barron-Goodrow. That could be a heck of a 3rd line for others to contend with.

Still think Kreids has a chance to be rejuvenated with Chytil & Kakko. He looked good with those kids. And it really helps spreading the wealth around. That line has the potential to feast on the whole league.

Drury signed Lindgren to a good deal, win. Traded Howden for a fourth, win. Traded for Goodrow for a 7th, then signed him. We all wish it was less term and money but the over reaction to this contract is of historic proportions. Imagine if Ron Francis was your GM right now. Give him a chance.

The league also needs to adjust the cap to accomodate state's income tax. It's a factor why we always "overpay".
That’s not happening any time soon. The league see’s that as an advantage for the health of it. It allows smaller market teams to compete even more with the big market teams.

Well then, we must endure this "terrible" Goodrow "overpay" which seems to have set this franchise back years. **Please note that I don't actually believe that - I think the contract is fine but I am not looking at the buyout.
