Forget about MSL for a second, I'm starting to lose my patience with Nash.

35 points in 58 games, I'm sorry, is flat-out unacceptable for someone with his talent that makes as much as he does. He's been a complete FLOP this season.

Finally someone who is thinking along the lines I am... Nash is the game breaker...and he hasn't done that in a while

don't you guys get it by now....it's the broadway curse...we get mid older to older players who before coming to the rangers played really well despite their ages and then come here and can't perform for a multitude of reasons. one of the reasons being the pressure of playing in NY right?....c'mon it obvious by now:sarcasm:.....really though the last player I can think of that has come here post 30 years old and had multiple good seasons was Messier

How many? Out of how many good hockey players?

You telling me good players never age? Is this a fantasy you live in?

38 is pushing it. There is a cliff there somewhere and he is dangerously close to it. Can debate all we want on where exactly it is, but it's there and it's going to happen

Not instantly in the middle of the season where they were right at their usual numbers...it's called a slump. The guy led the league in points last year (Or would have been in 2nd sans-Crosby injury). Perhaps he will start to slow down but this isn't evidence of it at all.

He already had a stretch of 12 games earlier this year from Oct 20 to Nov 22 where he had 1 goal and 6 assists.

He had a stretch last year where he 1 goal from Jan 22 to Feb 26 (17 games). He still finished that year with 17 in 48.

He had a stretch the year before where he had 2 goals in 15 games (11/17 to 10/10). That same year he had a stretch of 13 games with 0 goals. Still ended up with 25.

The year before that he had a stretch of 1 goal in 14 games (1/15 to 2/19 and that was in a 31 goal 99 point season!

There are ups and downs. These seem to be common and happen EVERY YEAR. Just so happens that during those other years people finished on the plays he set up so he put up more assists in the time frame. Obviously somewhat due to Stamkos but also he's had about nobody finishing on anything he's set up here.

Agreed. There should be more whining about this than Callahan's salary demands.

Sad... with this loss.. that Philly game means nothing

even more sad they now have a full 2 games in hand...if we keep playing down to teams with nothing to lose the rest of the way it's possible we end up in a wild card spot...watch philly beat boston at home and then the blues like they have been beating good teams lately

Then...that makes the Philly win even more important...

Of course we are 24-11-1 this year against teams that aren't currently in the playoffs...which means we are 17-19-3 vs playoff teams

Stopped reading at "perhaps"

Yes my mistake, players who win an art Ross at age 37 play at an elite level until they are 50.

Or until they go to the rangers, whatever comes first

Glad you were able to read into my comment and show me everything I was trying to say without actually trying to say it. Magic.

Nash is currently playing great. Producing a tonne of chances.

Such a Rongos night.

Hope we embarrass the Oilers and St. Louis scores a double hat trick or something.

The Rangers won 5 in a row without St. Louis doing anything. When they lose, his bad performances should and will be called out. Goalless in 13 games is pathetic.

Zuccarello hasn't looked very good since coming back. Wonder if his hand still bothers him.

Lundqvist was poor tonight, but I'm willing to give him a pass. Still, wouldn't mind seeing Talbot get a couple of games here to give Hank a rest.

Martin St. Lou Whitson. He is choking under the big lights. It's one thing to do it in the anonymity of Tampa. We were better off with Cally as a rental and our 2 picks.

Yeah, I hated the deal from the minute it went down and I'm not really afraid to mention it every game when MSL plays like ****, which has been almost all 13 games.
