Yes Callahan's 54 points in 76 games 4 years ago is indeed equivalent to Martys 61 points in 62 games in Tampa this year
How about we compare Callys production in Tampa to Msl's in ny? Or is that also unfair?

What happened to Zucc? Maybe put him back on a line with brass and poo.
Msl is terrible, we all know that.
Nash at least gave some good effort tonight.
D zone coverage was poor again, hank did screw up that one goal, but made a lot of good saves on those scrambles in front too. Rangers really need to clean up that leaving guys open in the slot thing.
Hagelin was excellent, 4th line was great again. Boyle especially keeps stepping it up.
Diaz was a guy I wanted to move MDZ for, odd he ended up on the rangers wearing #4 anyway. He's been pretty impressive.

Well I do love small samples...
This is bad. MSL stinks
Or we love looking back at history instead of the current.
Cally flat out is a far better player in Tampa than Msl is in ny.
Is that going to change going forward? Probably not. Msl is already pushing 40
I hope that MSL comes to dominate at some point and posters begin to feel silly about what they've said. But as of right now the proof is in the pudding and we've seen little to indicate he can be the sort of player here he was in Tampa Bay.
The lines are jumbled, which makes things worse, and the PP has been a big problem as well. Get Pouliot back with his line, stop sheilding Richards with two fast players. He's a big boy.

And Callahan was a 56 point player. We traded a 2015 1st for 4 points. Well done.

Wtf are you talking about? Callahan has never in his career reached 56 and MSL had over 60 points at the time of the trade. Callahan has cracked 25 goals and 50 points ONCE in his entire career.
It's more than that and you know it, if you've watched both play. Callahan has earned the love and respect of his teammates, coaches and fans in TB. And not because he has 8 pts in 11 games. Because he works his ass off every shift. MSL obviously doesn't do that. Or if he is trying, then he really looks his age out there. Just a horrible trade.
This is too small of a sample size though.
Will you eat crow when St. Louis out produces Callahan, a notorious 45 point player, next season?
What will you say if St. Louis scores 10 points in his next 7 games, and Callahan scores just 3 or 4 points?
Completely change your mind on who is the better player because of a 7 game stretch and what is most current?
I'm sorry, but that is a downright stupid way to view things.
Eat crow? That you think the trade is validated for an extra 5 points this year or 10 next year is just insane.
You don't move a player for someone ten years older and throw out multiple early draft picks for 10-15 points.
Maybe I'm the only one but I thought Marty played fine. Not meeting expectations, but I wasn't angry with him after this game. I could count on one hand the passes from our defensemen up ice to our forwards that actually connected and sent them up ice. Seems like the only thing we can do are those stretch pass deflections, but at some point it'd be nice to see us enter the zone with speed and the puck at the same time.
Ok 54 points. That makes it so much better.
Besides 60 was an estimate. What has he actually given us? 3? Would rather have Callahan at 7 million.
If a person flat lined for 4 minutes and came back declared clinically brain dead, that still wouldn't be a valid excuse for them to give Callahan 7 million a year.
I am not sure where you get an extra 10-15 points as, prior to this current stretch, St. Louis lowest point total in the past 8 years was still 20 more points than Callahans career high.
