I have to wonder if MSL was given a ton of phantom assists in Tampa.

I don't think I've ever seen a player that used to put up points at a clip he did disappear off a cliff like this guy.

Does there come a point where AV calls out St. Louis for his performance?

Or the fact that he is an elite veteran makes him immune to such criticism from the head coach?

They blew this game obviously.

Hank with a softie

no idea why players go to NY to die. MSL just sad right now. He has to eventually figure it out right? .................right?

Well the Ducks are losing to the Oilers so I guess that means we're still in the hunt for the cup.

Hagelin and Pouliot lately have been huge positives. Both have been busting their ***** every shift.

As someone who wanted Pouliot gone for a bag of who gives a **** earlier, he's really turned around.

Hags is an unreal skater, but I always wonder if his body outpaces his brain. I don't think he's cognisant when he's on the ice, which, sometimes taking the puck to the net is nice, but other times you just know he's not going to create something.

He's a very high end 3rd liner, though, and one of the only workers left on the team.

How did we do things with our top offensive talent before MSL got here? Let's do that instead.

Girardi had to stay back there because of the center streaking through the middle...if he stepped up Cammalleri would have just passed it for a mini break

Ok that makes sense, still defense caused the game and the fact Rangers stopped pushing the play when they took the lead

The D is to blame for this one. First 2 were %100 on d and the 3rd was because of bad d(given Diaz was interfered with and couldnt cover properly). 4th was Hank. MSL was abysmal, its like every line he gets on turns to crap. The team cant afford to lose games like this.

The first goal was on the PP. So, most of the blame should go to the player who took the penalty not the D that is trying to cover 5 guys with 4. Glencross blew the puck by Hank from the angle at 35 feet. His glove is a joke.

He had 29 goals! He was top-10 in goals. He is/was an elite player in the NHL. This has to be one of the worst stretches, if not the worst, of his CAREER.

It's not "phantom" assists. We've all seen him torch us enough to know the guy was the real deal.

I just don't get it. I'm really perplexed at this point. I knew he'd have an adjustment period after playing for one organization for 13 years, but... It's 13 games now! Come on. You have to score a goal.

Moore, Boyle and Dorsett have all been out producing him!

I begin to wonder how useful MSL really is without a 55-60 goal scorer [be it Stamkos or prime Lecavalier] drawing attention from him.

Its all in his head right now. New team for the first time and hes thinking too much. Stamkos was hurt and he was lighting it up in Tbay

That sucked. The Cammalleri goal really sucked. It's not just MSL--Nash has gone cold again as well. The 4th line was good again. Richards line was good. Stepan was good on face-offs and was the best player on his line. Brassard-Zucc and Miller--not so good.

Basically the Rangers controlled the action but were too ****ing sloppy and Henrik let in a **** goal for the game winner.

I mean Giroux started off the year with 0 goals and 7 assists in his first 16 games. This kind of stretch isn't exactly unheard of for PPG players. It happens.

Stop being so emotional. They're an NHL hockey team. They're playing good hockey and playing spoiler. 15-9 in your last 24 is solid hockey. They embarrassed the Ducks not too long ago, and they're a much better team than us.

Fans here shouldn't act so entitled, as if a lowly team like the Flames can't beat us, the almighty New York Rangers.

Yea i get it, anyone can beat anyone in this NHL. Regardless of Calgary playing well, the rangers routinely play down to lesser opponents, starting with the mental midget between the pipes.

I have a right to angry with the crap that St.Louis has brought to this team. If we was going to cry over his years in tampa, he should have stood there. i'm sick of top players coming here and losing their game.

if this guy had issues he should have stood where he was. but we always have to go after the name...

stop bringing up salary into things. It's utterly irrelevant and useless.

Technically, he's still on old salary.

I'm tired of the salary argument too. Complain about it next year. You can't complain about things that haven't even happened yet. Right now there are a handful of goalies making as much or more than him.

Complain NEXT year people.

And those people who are complaining, are probably the same people who wanted to bring Callahan back to a $6.5m NMC contract.

BS excuse.

He got out-dueled again tonight. The list of goalies better than him this season is filled with players on much better contracts moving forward. Henrik needs to be better. Of that there is no doubt.

And Callahan was a 56 point player. We traded a 2015 1st for 4 points. Well done.

Oh, I know.

Trade draft picks and players to get a 40 year old.

Not like the rangers have a history of acquiring aging broken down players who never get them anywhere.

St. Louis should be sent home to CT until he decides to get his head into the game. If he can't, let him sit out until the season is over. He has been pathetic. First line minutes, every power play, zero production. The guy is clearly a head case.

This is ****ing idiotic. Did you miss all the ****ing point blank saves he made earlier in the game when we had like zero coverage between the circles or the **** back check by the forwards half the game? The entire team showed up for about 15 total minutes of the 60, but it's ALL on the goalie?

D sucked, but when the ridiculously paid goalie stops thinking about the game before it ends in a one goal game he's the reason for the loss.

Zuccs hasn't been putting up a lot of points since his BFF Del Zotto was traded (except the game at Yankee Stadium, but everyone produced offense that day).

What happened to Zucc? Maybe put him back on a line with brass and poo.

Msl is terrible, we all know that.

Nash at least gave some good effort tonight.

D zone coverage was poor again, hank did screw up that one goal, but made a lot of good saves on those scrambles in front too. Rangers really need to clean up that leaving guys open in the slot thing.

Hagelin was excellent, 4th line was great again. Boyle especially keeps stepping it up.

Diaz was a guy I wanted to move MDZ for, odd he ended up on the rangers wearing #4 anyway. He's been pretty impressive.

I think part of what's up with Zucc is that he was feasting on 3rd defensive pairs and 3rd lines. Now he's known as a key offensive player and other teams are keying in on him.

In a positive note, if the Flyers pass us in the standings, and we hold onto 3rd, we will start on the road.

That's a plus given our performance on home ice isn't it?

I know people are upset, but I know McDonagh, Girardi and company will all be better next game. I'm optimistic, St. Louis has to start scoring soon. Lundqvist will likely bounce back. It's his first off game in a while, fans love to jump on him and mention contracts, but he's a big reason why we even won five in a row. Brassard has been solid for us, can't rip him apart for one game.

We'll get the two points back. Just one loss. Jeze, I hate being the optimistic person on here.
