"@Real_ESPNLeBrun: Regehr deal to LA contingent on him passing a medical exam". Sabres get two 2nd round picks (2014 + 2015) #tradecentre

i like this news we still have our 2nd next year. Im alot happier now

"@RealLisa: Per Kings, forward Dustin Penner has been placed on the injured reserve list (retroactive to March 31) due to a lower body injury."

I don't know if this is an April Fool's but I guess there's that roster spot.

Pulled his own groin so that he could not be traded?

I live close to Buffalo so I follow them as well as my Flames where Regher played for years. You will like this guy a lot but he is not flashy. He won't score. He is ultimate team guy, Physical, sticks up for teammates. Just a solid d-man. Sutter knows him form Calgary remember so he wouldn't want him if he didn't think he's an asset.

The fact it ISN'T this years 2nd is a bit easier to swallow. Didn't like the idea of a draft without a top 60 pick. And yes, I know we COULD HAVE traded Bernier for a pick, but that's no guarantee.

14/15? that lessens the blow at least.

think i have to agree with kingsfan, if they found a way to fit him next year i think i prefer the jbow trade. dont know much about berra or cundari, so i wonder who feaster was looking for in the kigns farm.

Terrible trade. Bouwmeester barely cost more. 2 2nd rounders and a first for Bouwmeester with salary retained would have been better than this.

Hope I'm wrong.

I wish he played tomorrow so atleast someone can hit Doan lol.

For all we know Calgary wanted a first, two prospects and no salary retention at all. Salary retention does have a cost for a rebuilding team, it is money the owner may not want to pay.

I'm actually surprised they still had Berra's rights. Thought you had to sign your draft picks to keep their rights? Guy was drafted in 2006 and never came across the pond yet.

Doubtful either make the NHL, at least not in any significant or regular manner.

Really it'd be like us adding in Kolomatis and Campbell with a 1st.

That must have been some stretch to get some pancakes...

Regehr sees over 3 mins of ice time on the PK. Iginla hasn't seen the playoffs in the same amount of time. Were you going to complain if the Kings added him too? Regehr is younger than Mitchell and Scuderi and is always durable. He has plenty of gas left in his tank.

This is why I question what some of you say. You're just reacting because Lombardi didn't make some flashy move.

Team does not need a flashy move and still doesn't. I was disappointed by the price paid. Just don't think that there were that many suiters for RR to warrant it. And no, dmen play a much more difficult role in the playoffs. IMO that's what won it for us last year along with Quick being absolutely incredible. My concern is that RR is a portion of the player he was and I'm not convinced he's an improvement over the current roster.

well that sucks......

oh well, lets hope RR does well here.

Are you comfortable with the Kings rolling into the playoffs with Muzzin and Ellerby both playing regular shifts on the rotation? To add to that, they are still very young and inexperienced on the blueline with Doughty, Voynov and Martinez. So that leaves Scuderi and Drewiske as the team's oldest and wisest defensemen. Yeah, I don't think that's a very smart idea. Hence the reasoning for adding Regehr.

I don't get how someone can't see that Regehr upgrades the Kings defense.

For the price that St. Louis paid, trade him after the season or just waive him and write him off as a trade deadline rental.

I'd rather do the Regehr trade and bring in a player who may fit in and could possibly be signed to an extension as opposed to taking on an albatross of a contract for a player who is not known to have a high level of competitiveness in his game.

I have mixed feeling about this trade.

Regehr is certainly the type of player we need though.

I like the fact that he's never won a cup, and waived his clause to come here. He should be hungry and motivated.

I just like the fact that players actually want to play in LA now. Do you think winning a cup has anything to do with it? I doubt it ;)
