Just so you know, it was in jest. Was just through the Buffalo area in the summer, was nice. :)

Besides, we get enough grief here in southern California anyway. ;)
Hah! I know. I didn't take it personally;)

Not so bad in WNY!
I don't think I've ever seen Quick or Bernier chew out a teammate. So it sounds like a great match.
It will be fine. I just don't want you guys to expect a bone crushing, minute eating game changer. He's not that anymore, if he ever was. He will settle in and find a niche.

And like mentioned, maybe add some tenacity with the motivation of his first real shot at a cup in a decade.

He'd be an excellent top 4 d-man though, the guy skates like the wind, can chip in offensively, is good on the PK and can eat 24 minutes a game. Why wouldn't we want that? You don't think what he brings dwarfs guys like A Mart and Ellerby?

It's not that we wouldn't want it, it's that he isn't strongest at what we need most: a strong stay-at-homer who will clear the front of the net. It's all well and good that JBo can chip in offensively, but we already HAVE really good offensive D-Men. Whether he is better at it than AMart or Ellerby is irrelevant. Why trade picks for what we already have?

Regehr also becomes one of if not the toughest guy on the Kings. He has fought Chara, Parros and Neil. I am going to love seeing Regehr out on the ice with Clifford and Nolan.

Wow, Just wow at what I've read here on this trade. WTH is wrong with some of you? Complaining and crying about Boumeester not coming to the kings?? EF that guy, he's not worth 3.5 mil let alone 6.6 yea he can skate, BUT THATS IT! I wasted 40 minutes of my time reading about that junk. The dudes rolling a big fat lifetime MINUS. Story over. Kings didn't get him, oh well, bummer, BFD move on for crying out loud.

Kings got EXACTLY what we needed in Regehr in a Big, hard hitting, tough, stay at home, protect the goalie PLUS player. You think Doughty can lay a good check on a guy? Wait till you see Regehr in action. I can't wait. This is "That move" that we will hopefully be talking about at the end of the year when we see the boy's lift another cup. This deal is about as good as they come in our needs. Green will be back and I'll be willing to bet our PK gets to about as good as it ever has. I just hope he passes the physical :D

Next task.. Get Quick back on his game!

Horrific. Is Regehr really that much of an upgrade to Martinez/Ellerby/Muzzin that you sacrifice two second round picks? Picks in a round that in the past have given us players like Simmonds, Voynov and Clifford? Not to mention if Greene comes back...

All I can do now is hope Regehr proves me wrong and I'm really, really hoping he does.

Then answer is yes. Have you seen our PK? A far cry from the 92.5% kill rate from last playoffs. Some of it is on the goalies, but a lot has to do with personnel. I'm OK with never seeing Martinez, Ells, and Muzz on a PK the rest of this year.

How can you possibly know this? Were there 11-year old kids you were scouting in 2008? That's just bizarre.

It has to do with Chinese Astrology. The players in the 2015 draft will *mostly* be Year of the Rat. Rat people are the most intelligent and ambitious, relative to the other 11 Astrological years.

Even a slight upgrade in stay-at-homeness will be a big boon. That's our biggest weakness right now, imo...owning our own slot and blocking shots and freaking LAYING OUT forwards walking into the middle.

Ok that's it some of you guys don't know squat, our biggest need was a hard, nasty, mean defensive defenseman to help out the young guys and help clear the crease and make quicks life easier and we did that so quit *****ing this was a good move that addressed a real glaring hole so just ****

This guy ****ing gets it!

There had been hope in LA Willie Mitchell might return but it's a no go. Had his knee scoped. @Real_ESPNLeBrun reports he's done for year.

I figured that was the case. Oh well, hopefully we still get Greene back and this move turns out great. Maybe Mitchell will be back next year.

Exactly.
Stop crying about the picks, when you're going all in to defend your title, you don't worry about some kid being drafted 2 years from now that might make the team 3 years beyond that.

And they will get picks for Bernier and whoever else gets traded.

RR is just what the doctor ordered, will take pressure off Doughty who can return to his normal game and will take much needed minutes from Scuds. RR is a tough hombre and will defend his zone, protect the badlands back there.

Maybe I wasn't clear enough with my point. Dean could have traded the 2nds in 2013 and 2014. He did not.

Instead, he traded the 2nds in 2014 & 2015. Based upon vast long-term trends that date back into the 70's, that 2nd in 2015 is as good as a 1st in 2013 or 2014. That's all I was trying to say....

Seriously confused on whether you are joking with this or not. If you're serious then :help:

Wow, i wake up take the kido to school, get to work and begin my day as usual reading the news and drinking my Green Tea...everything normal, than i get here and its madness!

Im super pumped about the RR deal. I think DL overpaid but if you look at our pipeline and our current roster, those picks wont be useful to us for along time anyways. Im happy he's going all in to try and that 2nd Cup.

Anyone know if RR will be in Phoenix by tonight?
