Nash was always streaky in Columbus. He'll have his time yet for you guys.
What Jacket fans are surprised by is Brassard. Talk about your late bloomer.

Nash definitely displayed instances of driving hard to the net, from any area and into the centre of the ice earlier with the Rangers, just as he did with the Bluejackets. I don't see that any more, haven't for a while.
His current game, the one we expect to see and do see, is a rather uninvolved, 80% type of effort from him, for whatever reason. He is so far from balls-to-the-wall that I am surprised that anybody could consider his impact as OK.
Nash had a pretty decent game today. I thought Stepan was pretty terrible.
Kreider was the best player on that line.
The excuses for Nash have to stop already. Another game, another 0 goals from him. It's absurd. He can't put the biscuit in the basket. He can't put the stuffing in the turkey, or he can't even put the turkey in the oven. He can't put the car in the garage, he can't put the train in the station. He can't put the rod in the water, the lightning in a bottle, the cat in the hat. And that's really why he's a loser. He can't put the cat in the hat.
To be fair, contrary to Seussian notions, cats do not like it when you put hats on them.
An observation on Nash from Elliotte Friedman on TSN 690 Montreal:

49 shots on goal and no goals. Too many low percentage shots but not any luck either. He does need to go harder to the net. I actually think he's dragging down Stepan with him. Passing all the time to a guy who can't finish to save his life is not going to give you any assists.
We hope he gets his act going!
Very insightful and probably the best explanation of why Nash struggles in the playoffs. To sum up the segment for those who can't listen:
Because of all the losing in Columbus and being treated with kid gloves for so long in that organization, Nash just doesn't know how to adjust to his current situation. He's a quiet guy and there was concern about what the burden of expectations would do to him once he left Columbus.

Eh, he's basically been for us what he was for Columbus. A ~45 point 2/3 C tweener.
