For those hoping for Gagner to play a game for Edmonton, worried he won't be on the Cup, the rules states:

To earn the status of getting your name engraved on the Stanley Cup, players must play at least 40 games through the regular season or one in the Cup final. Although not an official ruling, this standard helps dictate those who are considered part of the championship team.

I think they can make exceptions to adding certain players to the cup if they don't play 1 game in the Finals.

Not sure if or how it would be possible, but I'd love to see them do for Gagner what they did for Demers to get his 1000th game. Just a few harmless shifts with minimal expectation so that he meets the requirement.

Can’t believe we’re finally here. Gonna be an agonizing wait until Saturday.

Feels surreal that this is happening.
Really agonizing but good for the Oilers to get some rest and heal some bruises as their Game 6 was way more grueling than the Panthers Game 6 was.

I think this series suits Kane and Perry better so I expect them to play a bigger factor. Might see more of Carrick too and possibly Desharnais for some games although how do you take Broberg out? Maybe Ceci gets swapped out for a game or 2.

The turning point of this series was Klefbom on the big screen. Everything turned around after that, Skinner has been a WALL.

Tkachuk thought he could get away from us, ran as far away as he could. Sorry turtle boy, can’t escape the Oilers

The break will be good for the Oilers imo. Get some rest, especially the older guys. Ekholm and Perry both look great after a few days off. Also Knoblauch has my full faith now, this just gives him more time to study Florida and come up with ways to win.
should let KAssian take a warm up

Can someone point me in the direction of the best/moat reputable websites for (re-sale) tickets?

Planning on calling in sick for work the week of Game 3&4, flying to Edmonton, going to a game, and then back to Australia for work the next week.

Thanks
friend of mine got 2 last night for 880 in upper bowl.

Lol, love reading the Canucks forum

"Tkachuk will feast on the Oilers. His stats must be amazing against them when he was on the Flames"

uhhh what??? Him and Gaudreau were NO SHOWS. Just like Pettersson and Miller. You honestly think he will be a difference maker? I mean, I won't discount him out yet, but he has ZERO fightback from the times he's played against the Oilers.

I think both teams are facing their toughest test in the Finals. The Oilers need to raise their game even more. Game 1 might be a bit nerve-wracking but I'm actually glad they're going on the road for game 1. They'll relax a bit more like they did in game 1 in Dallas.

Not sure why the "rat" thing immediately made me think of this, but whatever.

Let's go Oilers.

The Panthers are a good team and they will try to wear the Oilers down and get under their skin, but the Oilers are no longer a team that folds under pressure. Should be a good series and hopefully end with an Oilers win.

It's not a "soft spot" Ryan is smart, good defensively and can win faceoffs as a RHC
But all Dallas series he wasn’t winning faceoffs and was losing every battle he was in.

He only has 5 goals in the playoffs. Not discounting him- but I wonder if all the pundits picking them walking over the Oilers is a bit curious. Even Stauffer said they arent an ideal opponent

I think theyre fine as an opponent, people just get too caught up in them beating elite goalies. Pundits are probably still in shock about their predictions getting clowned 4-2. It's not going to be a cake walk, but if this team performs as they can and keeps the work rate high, FLA is going to have their hands full.

The thing with FLA is that they play a heavy Western conference style, teams out east are mostly built different to counter a different style of play. NY dressed a big plug because they got scared of the rat/physicality stuff and then preceeded to play the guy 2m a game. Idiotic coaching. Once their PP went cold they were done, and Zib folded up like Pete.

We are a significantly stronger 5v5 than NY. FLA/EDM were 2/3 in CF% in the regular season and we were #1 in xGF% and HDCF%. Florida was even with us in shot share and significantly worse in high danger shot share along with expected goals. Obviously actual goaltending can negate your expected goals, but assuming Skinner maintains for the next 5 or 6 games we match-up just fine with FLA. They haven't played a team like us yet. We can skate with them, have a bigger team that isn't scared of intensity, and drive offense much better at 5v5 then they've seen. It's going to be a grind.

My "bold" suggestion for this series: move one of Nuge or Hyman on to Draisaitl's wing.
I hope Knob listens to you. He was clearly laboring in the Dallas series, due to either injury and/or fatigue, so I don't understand the reason for putting him with two complete duds in McLeod and Perry.
