Jarome Iginla and Grant Fuhr? Haha just kidding..

A more competitive Bouwmeester is a good one.

Thoughts on Seth's rookie season so far ? Pretty much what you expected, disappointing, doing fantastic for a kid ?? I know his +/- doesn't look so good, but the whole team has seen better days without Rinne. Expectations for next season ?

I was maybe his biggest fan pre-draft and I have to say even I have been very surprised by how well he's adjusted.

He is SICK and underrated because he plays under Weber's shadows.

In a year or two, people will regard him in the same conversation as some of the top 10 defender in the league.

He's played really well so far. When Josi was injured early in the season he stepped up and played with Weber for big minutes and did so strongly. Mid season he did seem to slump a little as he got moved from second pairing with MDZ to 3rd pairing with Ekholm but really both MDZ/Ellis and Jones/Ekholm pairings seem to be hitting their stride right now and really I they both probably function as 2nd pairs that Trotz can put out depending on the situation and what he wants so I wouldn't really look at him on the "3rd" pairing right now and consider it a bad thing. He just plays better with Ekholm than MDZ, and the same for Ellis. As a preds fan I can't help but think he's gonna be have a strong career on the 2nd pair behind josi/weber until weber retires(or gets traded :sarcasm:).

I always thought he was overrated maybe its just because everyone was saying he was better then MacKinnon I think he'll be a good defenceman just not as good as most think

I think he deserves just as much hype has MacKinnion has gotten. I see Jones as a top 10 defenseman in the NHL within 5 years. Similarly I see MacKinnion being a top 10 forward in a similar timeframe.

He's an unbelievable skater, great vision, great defensive instincts. I see him become a Chris Pronger-lite. He doesn't have Pronger's snarl, but I could see him playing a similar style. He will probably never be as good as Pronger, but I do see a lot of similarities.

He'll be a lot like Alex Pietrangelo

6'4 mobile two way blueliner that is good for 40-55 points and can log 25-30 minutes in all situations.

Can people be more specific? Like do people feel like he will be a #1 defenseman? Will him and Weber become the best d-man pair in the league? I don't get to watch him enough so I'm curious.

Top 4 dman for sure(would be top 2 but they wont play Jones and Weber together)....Lets just say Nashville NEEDS to figure out how to score goals like now. With Jones on the team, they will now have either Jones or Weber on the ice at all times of the game for years and years and that's scary for opponents!!!.. They did well getting Neal, but now they need more. They gotta take advantage of having Jones, Weber and Rinne.

Him an Weber play on the same side. I think they are more likely to have a Pronger/niedermayer situation where Nashville will have an all star caliber defensemen on the ice 80% of the time. Not saying Jones' is currently an all but I think he will be.

I see him as a Pietrangelo with accelerated development curve.

I think Jones will be one of the best defenders to come out of Nashville, with the potential to be the absolute best. He has all of the tools, and it seems as though this off season he is working on getting bigger, getting strong and becoming more explosive. If he can do those things will remaining an exceptional skater who sees the ice extremely well, can distribute the puck and can create offense while still being able to defend you're looking at the total package.
