Seider has been heating up since the All Star break with 6 points in 4 games +7. If he keeps that pace up the rest of the season, it just won't be the Calder he will be contending for.

As the person who made the post, this is 100% false. Good try attempting to take credit though.
Lmao, I literally posted it the same day, you can even see who received more likes. You can also just take a look at my mock, which you likely looked at before making that post on the Seider thread. Quite frankly, it doesn't really matter though, it's all for ego at this point

Seider is great. At this pace he should win the Calder. But if you are insinuating that he's in the conversation for Norris, he's not. He likely will be in the future, but at this moment? Not close.

I never said he is now. I only speculated that if he kept the pace he has been having the past few weeks or so that he could be part of that conversation but not necessarily win it.

How many D in the league are currently better than Seider?

How many D in the league have more value than Seider?

Earlier this season I’d have argued he was a top 20 D. The last 10 games Seider has been top 10.

As for value, Makar and Fox as #1D have more value but I think that Seider could close that gap over time. He’s gone beast mode.

He could potentially be in the top 10 conversation, which would be incredible. Top 10 is a looooong way from winning though.

Season ends right now? Seider is right around top 10. Pretty easily top 15 but I could make a really good argument for him to be right around 10 give or take a spot or two. I dont know that I would call him a bonafide top 10 D in the league because you need a track record to earn that, but just this season alone, hes right there.

As for actual value as an asset? Given what hes doing on an ELC with years of team control, I think the only dman whose drawing more in a trade is Makar. 6'4, physical players always draw a lot of value (look at the rumoured Chiarot price). Seider is a 6'4, physical beast, that is having a really high end offensive season while defense is his calling card, and hes doing it with a boat anchor for a partner all year. I dont know if theres a more rounded young guy in the league at all, he literally does everything at a high level and teams owuld love to build a defense around someone like that

Outside of Makar I find it hard to believe any dman has more value in a trade

Technically sure I guess. But we already know there are only about 4-5 guys that realistically can win it.

Dont disagree with you at all. He'll be in the discussion that he'll get a few votes and show up in the voting record, people will say watch out for him to assert himself into the conversation more in the future type deal, but he has no realistic chance of winning barring some insane streak to end the year.

I think he could potentially be deserving of finishing all the way up to 8th or so in the voting right now though so its not like he wont get a bit of talk either. Depends on your definition of being "in the discussion" I guess

I don’t think his defensive game is really as rock solid as many are making it out to be. I do see the potential for an elite dman for sure though.

I hate the Wings more than anyone, but let’s be honest here, this guy is insanely good, he really has no flaws. He is at the level of any of the great young d-man to come into the league in recent memory.

I don’t think 3 years is to soon to talk about redrafting lists, and with apologies to Zegras and Hughes who both look stellar as well, he would be the #1 pick right now.

If you are from Michigan why would you hate the Redwings? Different parts of Michigan might have different political leanings but they are usually united in their love for the Redwings and that applies also to MI transplants to other states that fill other cities stadiums thru the years.
