Those ESPN bits (wait, they cover hockey!?) remind me how much I miss all the Bobby Granger videos.
He;s been a bust for some time now.is Gropp a bust at this point?
Some teams will just take their 12 most talented forwards and make 4 lines out of them.
Not to ruin your day, but he actually makes $2 million this season and $4 million next season. The coach deserves 0 outs, he's paid 1M+ to coach a hockey team.

I'm going to get heat for this but I'm going to make the devil's advocate argument for why I'm okay with dressing McLeod... here's the thing, maybe having to potentially fight someone deters only 0.03% of bad behavior on the ice. But all things else being equal (and honestly not caring if we win or lose the game) that's better than 0%. At this late stage of the season, all that matters is keeping players safe and healthy for the future. And also developing young guys like Andersson and Chytil (who aren't playing with McLeod). Maybe deterring that slight, slight, slight amount of bad behavior is more important than playing a guy who has zero future with the team (like Carey or Holland).
Any solution that scratches McLeod is cool with me.AV can be a doofus with lines but I dont really see a solution that makes everyone happy.
Its impossible to keep the KZF line intact, keep Hayes at center, have Buch in the top 6, put Andersson and Chytil in the top 9, with Chtyil at center and not demote Vesey to the 4th line after scoring 2 goals.
My real problem with the whole principle of it though is that guys like McLeod are dressed as a precautionary against other guys like McLeod who themselves are a precautionary against McLeod. It’s like this self fufilling prophecy.
Our tough guy fought their tough guy because their tough guy roughed one of our players but their tough guy was only in the game because our tough guy was in too.
I would argue that those teams probably have something to play for, and at this point in our season some things are more important than winning.
Obviously AV not playing his 12 most talented forwards at any competitive point in any season is asinine, and I want him fired as much as anyone else. Just making an argument for why playing McLeod tonight sort of makes sense to me.
I don't like it, puts him too far away from Kreider.I've been on the Zibby to wing wagon for a while now ... I just love his shot.
It is an absolute joke that Mcleod is playing
I hate seeing him on the ice, I despise watching him play and espically depise watching him fight
He drops the gloves tonight it might make me turn it off
Sickening. Truly is.
Don't understand the anger over this. If Buch was being scratched I'd be furious. Carey, Desharnais? Who the **** cares.Yeah this is just a wee bit extreme.
Personally, I'd love to watch him kick the **** out of Wilson.
Whatever. Buch and Vesey should be switched, and I wouldn't mind switching Hayes and Names; Hayes is a terrible winger and has found a groove as a centre that I wouldn't want to disrupt.
If Lettieri was in the lineup in place of McLeod, these lines would look a lot better.
As for switching the kids to wing for their first real kick at the NHL can? **** that.
Edit - actually, after looking at it again, I think I'd switch Buch and Spooner. Just glanced right over him for some reason. It's almost like he barely impacts games or something.

Probably this. Don't want him or anyone else on the Caps running the kids. His presence is a bit of deterrent, I guess. Whether he actually can stick up for his teammates is another matterYeah this is just a wee bit extreme.

If Tom Wilson gets a chance to take a run at Chytil or Andersson (or any other Ranger for that matter) he will take it, whether McLeod is in the lineup or not.Probably this.
