Post-Game Talk: Rangers @ Toronto

Hopefully they come out on fire at home on Wednesday. Really need to come out and score one early and set the tempo. Too sloppy tonight. Even with how sloppy the defensive coverage was, we still almost tied the game.... if only Stepan wasn't a Zeus god and broke his stick because he's too damn awesome even for his stick.

I'd like for this to be the loss equivalent of the hat. If you play the ****tiest in a loss, blow up the horn.
 
D zone coverage was horrible once again. This team is really weird, they seem to get caught running around a lot.

Lundqvist actually looked semi-human tonight also which was strange.

Toronto is no joke though, they seem to have a good thing going there.

I knew Nash was going to score tonight, players from the GTA always do when they come to Toronto, it's so brutal and annoying.

I don't think Ludnqvist was bad tonight at all, the Leafs just have an elite offence and they can do that to any team IMHO, hopefully we get Lupul back Wednesday.

GGs, Rick Nash will carry you into the playoffs.
 
Now I see why they say Toronto fans are so cocky. Team has a playoff spot since Moses wore short pants and they all act like they are Stanley cup champs. They have a good team, but not anywhere close to cup contenders with dat D and goaltending. Hopefully we take it to them on Wednesday, was a good game tonight, they deserved to win.
 
a lot of teams underestimate toronto's speed and offense.

You definitely miss staal and what he brings to the team. You have no one else of that calibre to take his spot.

IMO and i've stated this on the leafs board IF you guys can get it all together and I mean with staal back I think you guys can win the east.

Probably too late to win the east, but yes this team misses Staal dearly. Toronto is very opportunistic and plays with a certain swagger offensively. They certainly get the puck to the net efficiently. They have a nice team, I def wouldn't want to play them in the playoffs.
 
Interesting game, almost tied it up, I hate those damn sticks they use these days, the worst.

Looking for a big win Wednesday, Isles Saturday will be one of the best of the season, playoff atmosphere. Lookin forward to it.
 
Toronto is not a team to be taken lightly, been saying that.

Just hope the Rangers bring something Wednesday night, and remove the welcome mat.
 
FWIW, after going back to watch what I missed, I thought every single player on the entire team sucked except for Stepan and Nash.

Although none sucked more than Del Zotto. In fact, he was so bad that I would almost be tempted to bench him next game. That was the worst game this season for him and one of the worst of his career. And that's saying something since we all remember his second season.

Yeah he was terrible. I haven't really liked him playing with Girardi in general though. Both of them are too prone to wandering and running around.
 
Zuke with close to 22 mins ice time, some Great passes and he was one of our better players but no points..

Story of his NYR comeback so far..

The way he is playing, he will start racking up the points. He has great vision, seems like a much more complete player in the offensive zone since his last stint with NYR.

Yea I was getting really frustrated with him in the first period. I thought he was pretty soft on the puck and couldn't make passes or catch them. He also seems to fall down a lot.
 
Zuccs used his brain and his body tonight, nice to see. I'm still waiting for him to bury one, but it will come. In the meantime, he just needs to keep doing what he is doing.

In my experiences here and on the Leafs board, its been the single friendliest exchange I've had on HF.
 
Yeah, I've got no problems with the Rangers or their fans. It's usually a good, close game every time we play too. It's some good hockey.
