Post-Game Talk: Rangers @ Toronto

Put Nash on the right side where he belongs. His shot is so much better on that side.

This. I think the 1st goal was the 1st or 2nd goal he's scored from the left side all year.

He's our best offensive player. Put him where he needs to be to succeed/

Zucc was also not as good as people are saying. He was ok on the forecheck (had a few good takeaways) and making passes but could not catch a pass for ****. Go back and look at the first period and you'll see exactly what I mean.

Jupp, he had three. More than any other ranger. strålman with 2, del z, Richie and caly with 1

Dorsett needs to get healthy. Pushes Boyle to line four and Pyatt out of the lineup.

Put Zucc's with Nash and Stepan.

Let's be honest, Boyle is never going to be on the 4th line. Every time we make a move we go "Oh finally! Boyle on the 4th line!" and Torts finds a way to make it NOT happen.

And again, yes, MDZ and Girardi were awful, but our d zone coverage from our forwards was even worse.

This floors me as well.

Trade away Gaborik because top 2 RWs are Nash and Callahan
After trade, plays Nash on LW

:help:

One of the best things that could happen to this team is he gets traded at the draft....for ANYTHING.

This is what I like against Rangers, they always bounce back (at least against us).

Nash looks unreal for you guys. He owned our 3rd pairing (no idea why our coach put them against him anyways). Captain America was pretty good too. Torts may not be the most liked person right now, but he did exploit a flaw. Leafs tend to use boards to clear the puck, and he crowded the boards making it tough to clear. Of course, Leafs changed strategy in intermission, but I'd give him that.

Crowding the boards is our strategy for every game, all the time. He did no exploiting. No adjustments. Let's not give too much credit. That's what a real coach would do.

im pretty ****ing pissed right now. we should have won this game. we collapsed in our own zone and let the **** our D.... Sad.
If these guys don't come out with fire in two days I don't know what ill do

Doesn't "collapsing defense" mean that there will be many players close to the net?

Then why don't these many Rangers players move the Laughs out from in front of the damn net? Why won't they not allow semi breakaways to the Leafs' best offensive player? Why won't they clear rebounds?

Yea no, thats not what happened at all.

If we collapsed in the zone, maybe we wouldve had some guys in front of the net -- and wouldnt have had Del Zotto absolutely lost up the ice on 3 of the goals.
