Post-Game Talk: RANGERS @ some team -- 3/6

This game depicted two things that we already know tbh but it's nice to see more evidence:

1. Chytil has VERY good hands
2. Fox has VERY good everything

I'm loving Chytil's game this season. It remains to be seen if it translates to points but man is playing a very interesting style.

I'd rather we kept him if he is the ask for Eichle. Or forget Eichel and ship Zibby to someone who has a bonefied young center. With the talent we have on wing, we don't need Eichel or Barkov. We could get away with Chytil and any other players that we've discussed recently like Krebs/Newhook etc...

If you go by the Boston model, Krecji, Bergeron, etc... were excellent but never elite centers.

Said before the season I like the look of these pairings: 13-93, 10-72, 20-16. We're closing in. Makes a huge difference for us to give our kids time and roll out talent in waves. Imagine switching Rooney with Panarin and have those three lines...

Palmieri took out Smith hitting him into Georgiev and Miller had to scamble across to block the path for Huges. It was a good hit, like not something that will be top 10 at the end of the year league wide, but Hughes felt it for sure!

Some who want a high pick may disagree, but I am glad we are winning these games. We are at a point in our rebuild where we need to start separating ourselves from the bottom feeders. Really dont want to end up like the Devils or Sabres or Edmonton's first rebuild.

Incredible this post got no likes. Winning is the best feeling of all. Confidence! Sucks we are in a super tough division in terms of getting a top 4 spot but this is how these kids are gonna develop. Get a taste for winning at the highest level and next year take it to an even higher level while teams like Washington, Boston and Penguins (and even the Islanders a bit) start to flat line or start their decline.

Dare I say it that is not a terrible d. Pretty much a good puck mover on each pairing with Hajek improving and a stronger/tougher type dman on each pair.

So now comes what may be a season defining week. I, along with most, felt the Rangers were the better team when they played in Pittsburgh earlier this year, however they only got one point in two games. Now they get another shot at the Penguins. Both played today. This is a real chance for those young legs to really shine.

Then it's off to Boston. Right now, the Bruins are the best in the division until someone takes them down. Hopefully the Rangers bring some momentum with them out of Pittsburgh and make it a very successful week.

5-6 points out of 4 games would feel very good right now.

Miller coughed the puck up, Hughes drove the net and didn’t think Miller could cut the angle. Miller pushed him through the goal post. Knocked the net off.

It was almost like Miller gave him the puck just to hit him.

I realize it was the devils for 2 and the Sabres for one but over the last 8 games we have 6 wins. Beat Philly, Washington and the Bruins in that stretch.....not so bad!

As to saying a lot of things, I am confident if an accurate extensive post mortem was done on all my team recommendations, the results would be more positive than you suspect.

Not going extensively there, I wanted to trade Girardi as rental for 11OA instead of extending. If we could have balanced such moves and avoided the Eric Staal overreaches, we prob would have had a better decade, We have been extremely lucky w/LaF + KK and others falling our way last coupla yrs.

Strome playing like this without Panarin has really impressed me. He gets a lot of flack around here, but with Mika not himself he has stepped up. 8 points (3 G, 5 A) +6 in his last 6 games.
