Laffy Taffy supplied me with some sweet info on Pitt: 3rd worst xGF% in the league at ES.

Hah! Thought so. Being in South Jersey I get exposed to a lot of Pitt/Philly games and I've yet to be impressed with what I see from Pitt. It sounds a little strange to say going into Pitt for 2 is an "opportunity" rather than "let's just steal one" but that's how it's going to be in the division from here on out.

This team needed to learn how to succeed without relying on Bread the same way teams of years past have relied on Henrik.
Thank God Kreider and Strome finally woke up. And now Kakko, Chytil and Laf are starting to produce too. The way things were early in the season, the Rangers weren't winning without a multi-point night from Bread.

Oh I'm sorry did we not get points for the OT/SO losses. Ugh, this whole "my dick is bigger than yours because I don't accept NHL OT rules" has got to stop.

Laf with a 'Kreider-screen' on the Hajek goal... it doesn't show up on the score sheet but it's a beautiful thing to see.

Kakko has been doing all the little things; now to be rewarded with some big things. I feel like the floodgates will open once he gets one.

The defense has been worse but the offense has been much better than defense has gotten worse lately. I'll take the tradeoff.

I thought Quinn had killed their strength in the interest of "structure" but they are slowly getting back to it. You have 1st Rd. picks in Fil, Laf, Kakko (two of which you took Top 2) playing big minutes and lots of money tied up in Zib, Stromer, Bread, Buch, and Kreids; not to mention some offensive minded guys on the blue line - they are built on offense and the ability to overwhelm their opponent and get the timely save from their all-world talent goaltender. I don't care what's going on with their structure. If this team doesn't score a lot of goals they are going to lose. If they do score a lot of goals it might be a LOT of goals. Nah meen?
