If Holden is still in the lineup (which means one of Bereglazov/DeAngelo are in the press box or another league), I could see AV giving Staal-Holden 2nd pairing minutes again.

Would have liked him at 4 mill but more important was the years to me. Im willing to pay the extra 300k as long as its not a 5 year deal.

4 yrs is perfect. kids got alot of hockey left in him and he gives us something we need. loved him in the playoffs, love his attitude and like that he plays with a little anger and edge. fair deal all around.

We have a very large userbase, which is a great thing. Every move is going to have a small subset of users become a large vocal majority.
Filter out the noise, respond in kind to people who deserve responses, or don't respond. Basically the only way to navigate this place.

Do you think the management would offered him this contract and view him as bottom 6? If they don't, why do you? They obviously liked what the saw with the Skjei-Smith pairing which was a solid top 4 combo.
Yes and even if Holden is played with McDonagh, that still leaves Smith getting 2nd pairing minutes.
Unless we think DeAngelo is going to get those minutes instead'
