Čerešňák carved out a really nice career for himself in the Czech Extraliga. Always nice to see a former prospect go on to have a good career, even if it's not in the NHL with your team.

I feel like Kovács could have made it if he had his head screwed on right.

Yeah, Kovács is definitely a case of low IQ. A few years ago he was arrested for drunk driving (with the history he has with that street racing accident, that was bad enough already), his drivers license was revoked, and then they caught him drunk driving again without a license a few weeks later.

Hard to feel bad for a guy who is so mindnumbingly stupid.

No points again for Othmann. Playing injured isnt fun. His team won though 3-2.

Flint won 3-2, Othmann 0 pts w 5 shots
Barrie lost 3-2 in 2OT, series tied 2-2, Vierling 1A

Red Deer lost 3-1, series tied 2-2, Grubbe 1A
Moose Jaw lost 5-3, didn't sweep but leads series 3-1, Korczak 1G

Boyko rebounded to be #1 star, stopped 36 of 38, Kelowna wins in OT, prevents sweep of Kelowna by Seattle, Rempe 0 pts, series 3-1 Seattle

only Cuylle plays Thursday

Anyone else find it sad that the Junior leagues have better coverage than the AHL. Shame on you NHL/AHL get your act together.
Sure.

The AHL and ECHL also could do with substantial pay increases.

An average AHL salary closer to 200k than 100k, and a ECHL salary closer to 100k than the current, what, 30 they earn?

That would do to keep a lot of decent quality players over here in North America instead of going to Sweden, Germany, and the lik.e

They should at least raise the max salary for ELCs which is now 70k

Actually no. The CHL leagues have been around a long time and Canadians tend to look at ice hockey as their sport. There is always an audience for it. Both the AHL and ECHL have lots of teams that are not in traditional hockey markets.….where football, basketball, NASCAR what have you often are more popular.

The constant relocations in the AHL don't help either. The last 12 years (Since 2010) there have been 24(!) changes, either relocations, new teams, or teams disappearing for a year.

Rempe had two goals last night including the OT winner. Beat Boyko who stopped 40/44.

Garand stopped all 20. In 4 games he has allowed 3 goals and has 2 shutouts.
So in W,
Garand, Rempe, Korczak move on,
Boyko goes home,
Grubbe's Red Deer leads 3-2
OHL series resume later today(Saturday)
Cuylle, Vierling,
then tomorrow, Othmann, and if necessary Cuylle

Yeah, and even more, I am not a expert, but he get a diagnosis of more than ADHD if he went to a doctor. Would definitely bet on AS too. I don’t even get upset with him. If he plays hockey and drives drunk a bit, don’t think it’s a bad outcome given how things could have went for a kid like that.

So the average business job pays like a professional hockey league? And you don't have to worry about getting hurt and retiring at 35.

I'm not asking for much, but is a quality camera and video highlights of the game to show on the boxscore like the Junior leagues provide that much work?

probably not enough subscribers Where they don’t want to sink any serious kind of money in it. I mean I don’t though I often listen to the Hartford radio feeds.

It's all about whether or not the org thinks it's worth it. Lehigh Valley Phantoms has HD broadcasts. Last year in prospect camp they played 2 games vs that team, one was broadcast by them, the other was done by a Rangers intern with a cellphone

Oh god, i remeber that cell phone thing  So sad, that a team with an unlimited money supply can't throw a few bucks to the minor league team.
